I stood there in shock. She had slapped me. I felt my cheek, it already hurt a ton and it felt tingly. She had hurt me. On purpose.
Without a doubt in her mind.
She had hurt me.
This not not emotionally.
But physically.
I stood there, more shocked than hurt. She always told me she would never hurt me. This time she had hurt me. This time she meant it. This time it was her.
She had hurt me because of Lis. It was her fault I had gotten into the mess. I could have tried talking to her, but now Elise thought I was a cheat. She thought I loved Lis. She thought I had hurt her.
Maybe I was the one that had hurt her and not the other way around.
