What A Life

August 2nd, 10 a.m.

Cassidy's POV.

I quickly got up changed out of my PJs into my running clothing. Kaila, Kyla, and I were gonna go running today. Kristen couldn't come today so yeah. And Jennifer isn't much of a runner.

As I got out and went downstairs looking like an idiot since I was wearing sweatpants and this other thing for running it was kinda like a bra but it wasn't one, it was used for running and it was to be worn in the same place.

As I went downstairs Kyla was already there. So far right now the goal was to be able to jog the entire way towards Kaila's home.

"You ready to start jogging?" I said.

"Yeah," Kyla said.

"Ok, let's go," I said as we went in the elevator.

As Kyla and I got out of the elevator I was shocked to see Brett holding flowers?

"Hi Cassidy, can I talk to you?" He said.

"For what," I said.

"To apologize," he said. He then grabbed my hand and pulled me to a corner away from Kyla.

"I'm sorry for the whole situation on the Emma thing," He said.

"I'm sorry I was so harsh to you," I said.

"You weren't harsh, besides I deserved that," he said as I laughed.

"Anyways these are for you," he said as he handed me the flowers.

"Shouldn't you be giving these to Emma?" I said while playing around.

"What do you mean?" He said.

"Aren't you guys dating?" I said.

"No, not anymore," he said.

"What why?" I said.

"It got complicated and we had nothing in common," he said.

"So things weren't working out," I said.

"Yeah pretty much, since I wasn't with Emma anymore I wanted to fix things up with you, and well to try to get things back to normal as the friends we were," he said.

"Oh," I said.

"Well you know we could always be friends like before," I said.

Brett had a big smile.

"And if one day I have nobody, I'd go to you," I said.

"Hug?" He said.

"Alright," I said as we hugged.

I went up to Tony and told him to put the flowers in water and to make sure they get in my room.

"Well I have to go, but what do you say if we hang out later?" He said.

"Uh... We'll see," I said.

"Bye," he said as he walked towards the exit.

"Bye," I said.

Kyla then came towards me.

"Wow two guys all ready?" She said.

"Shut up," I said in a playing around mood.

I stayed looking out at the door with my eyes like a frog's.

"Cassidy snap out of it," Kyla said.

"Ok, ok," I said.

"Race ya to Kaila's house," She said.

"You're on!" I said as I started running.

"Oh you're gonna lose!" She said.
