//Carl's POV

I walked back into Alexandria and took a deep breath. Convincing everyone to join me and Tess was gonna be a challenge, especially they didn't really have the best opinion of Tess.

I thought about who I should tell first. The answer came immediately.

Enid.

I headed to her house.

I knocked on the door and Glenn answered it, holding Hershel Jr.

"Hey, Carl," he greeted. "What's up?"

"Hey, Glenn," I replied. "Is Enid here?"

He nodded and stepped out of the way. I walked in.

"Everything okay?" he asked.

"Yeah," I assured. "I just need to talk to her about something."

He nodded. "She's up in her room."

I walked up the stairs and knocked on Enid's door.

"It's open!" she called from the other side.

I opened the door and walked in.

She was sitting on her bed, writing in her notebook.

She looked up at me. "Hey. You're back."

I nodded and sat down next to her.

"I need to talk to you," I said quietly. "But I don't want Glenn and Maggie to hear us."

She gave me a look before taking my hand and guiding me over to the window. She opened it and stepped out.

She helped me out and she closed the window. We sat down.

"What's up?" she asked.

I sighed. "You wanted to know what's going on with me and Tess."

She watched me intently and nodded.

I checked the coast to make sure it was clear and lowered my voice.

"We want to kill Negan."

Her eyes widened. "Wait, really?"

I nodded. "Well, it's mostly her, but I'm helping her out. But the thing is, we need people. A lot of them. And you and my dad are the only people that don't hate Tess."

She sighed. "So you want me and Rick to convince everyone to help you guys out?"

I exhaled. "I don't even know if it's a war worth fighting. But I'm gonna fight it anyway. Because what Tess is fighting for, I believe in. She's fighting for a better life for everyone."

She just looked at me for a moment before nodding.

"Alright, I'll talk to Rick."

I breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you."

//Tess's POV

I snuck back into camp and headed to my room. Luckily, Alpha didn't see me.

I closed the door behind me and sat down on the bed.

I looked around the room and my eyes landed on my box of razor blades.

Taking a shaky breath, it took everything in me to not run over to them. I was trying to stop. But it was so hard.

Running my thumb over my forearm, I forced myself to look away.

I stared out the window and thought about Dwight. Would he actually gather up a bunch of Saviors and help us out?

Or will he run back to Negan after the first obstacle?
