PROMPT: In a time where Thorin is finally the king and you two are married with children.

You could tell by the way that he watched the children play that he was thinking about the past. It was something that you both tried to do as little as you could because it hurt too much to be discussed. You might not have been there to see the horrors of the battle, but the pain in Thorin's eyes when he told you of them was enough for you to halt your questions. The last thing that you wanted for him was pain, but constant reminders of those dark days laid everywhere in your new lives.

The children brought him happiness and piece most days while they played in the large and expansive land. However, you could tell that they reminded him of the two boys that he had lost that meant so much to him. The way he would watch them play with that small and sad smile of his. How he would seem lost in thought while he looked past them and sometimes forgot to pay attention to their antics.

Your marriage was one of understanding and oneness. You were so close that it should be impossible, and you could tell what he was feeling before he even felt it. It felt nice to be bonded to a person in so many ways that your souls mingle together. In every essence, you knew each other and loved each other to the ends of the earth. There was nothing that you wouldn't do for each other, and- with that being said- his suffering was yours.

You watched sadly as he kept his eyes on the small twins. They were growing fast and already bore a great resemblance to their father and yourself. Never too quiet, but always too loud, they were a bit rambunctious and kept you both on your toes, but you wouldn't trade them for the world because they were the perfect combinations of you and Thorin. Even with the suffering that laid behind his happy eyes, even with the pain in your own heart for knowing that he harbored such suffering, even with the constant reminders of a dark past; things felt oddly whole. You had a family. A beautiful family. It was all you needed to make life simply worth living.

So, with a smile, you called out to the three special males in your life and beckoned them back into the house. ''Thorin, Kili, Fili, time for dinner.''

Well, I don't know where to begin. I am sorry for not getting anything up right away. I had to do a bunch of homework but now that's all done, and hopefully all previously requested imagines will be up tonight. I hope this one was satisfactory. Don't hesitate to request something if you want to see it, but just remember to tell me the prompt that you want unless you have no preference.
