Aaron's POV

She's been in surgery for hours now....

Which the doctor said was good, it means she's still alive....

Still fighting....

Still Aphmau.....

Katelyn was sitting next me in the waiting room of the hospital, biting her lip.

"Aaron.....Can I ask you a question?" She asks.

"Sure" I say, my voice hoarse.

"Would you ever leave Aph for anything?" 

"Katelyn....."

"Like if you learned something about her that you hated, would you ever leave her?"

"Katelyn, how could you ever ask that? Especially now?"

"Would you?"

"There is nothing she could do, or nothing about her I could learn, that would make me leave her" 

Katelyn seems to let out a big breath.

"Aaron, she's......"

Katelyn is interrupted by Aphmau's doctor emerging from the restricted doors of the operating room.

"The surgery was successful....we were able to fix her wounds on her liver and the broken bones."

The elephant that was standing on chest decided to stand up and leave.

"Thank.....thank you..." I thank the surgeon.

"Yes, both Mom and baby are okay"

"thank....wait what?" I say, confused.

"Aaron....." Katelyn starts.

Aphmau's POV

I groggily open my eyes, pain exploding everywhere.

What happened?

I look at my surroundings, noticing I was in a hospital room.

For the love of Irene, what happened now?!

All I remember was a ball of fire, growing like a dry sponge under water.

It was bit hard to breathe, like someone was slightly choking me.

Where is the girls?

Are they okay?

Oh no Aaron.......

He'll never let me out of his sight again....

That guy....

The door creaks open, revealing a worried Aaron and a soot covered Katelyn.

"Aph!" Aaron exclaimed, coming to her side.

"Aaron...." I say, but I wince while saying it.

He must have noticed, because he just looked down me and didn't touch me.

"Aph, why didn't you tell me?" He wonders.

I was a bit confused, but then realized what he was talking about.

I turn my head slowly to Katelyn, making out a few words.

"Katelyn did you....." I try, but she stops me.

"Nope, the surgeon did" Katelyn said, defending herself but smiling.

Why was she smiling?

"Aph, why would you ever think I wouldn't want this?"

I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out.

"Aph, I would never leave you, especially for something like this"

"I love you, and I'll love our baby as much as I do you"

I smiled, but for some reason that hurt too.

"I love you too"

He leans down, gently placing his lips on mine.

This was worth the pain

I know this seems alot like my other books but I have a whole different plan for this one.

One to trigger dem feels again XD
