♕ Chapter TwentySix ♕ - The Dream-Boy Thief.

Start from the beginning

We turn a corner and reached our lockers. I opened my locker and started looking around for my note-pad. I know, I know, it's just art. We don't need note-pads for that. But, you could never be sure of what the teacher's in this school would give you. Assignments, pop-quize's – anything. So, instead of worrying, I took my note-pad with me to every class, just in case.

"I'm just going to the bathroom," Maya says after a while of silence. "I'll be back in five."

"Mhm," I hum, still searching with my head burried inside my locker.

She chuckles before she walked away towards the bathrooms. I was now alone, my head in my locker, no students in the hallways.

"Come on," I groan. "I know I left it here somewhere..."

As I look through my locker for the third time, a pair of heels approaches me. I could hear the heels hitting the floor, making noises. I didn't mind checking who it was. Whoever it is, they are surely just passing me, heading to class or to the bathrooms.

"Well, well, well," The squeaky voice everyone would recognize anywhere.

I take my head out of my locker and just as I had guessed, there she was standing in her high, red heels, tight jeans and a blouse that I was sure wasn't even her size, seeing as her breasts were ready to pop out.

Little miss Missy Bradford. Great, just what I needed.

She smirks, "Isn't it little Riley Matthews."

I don't meet her eyes, not because I was scared of her – I was – but more because she would probably leave me alone if I didn't look her way.

"Rumors says little two goody-good feet is dating the Lucas Friar." She says, disgust lacing on her every word.

I didn't say anything, nor did I look.

"Aw," she cooes. "What's wrong, sunshine?" She asks, pouting her lips at me, with pity in her eyes. Why is she pitying me?

"Nothing," I murmur, still not glancing her way.

She scoffs, "Oh, I'm sure it must be something. Let me guess," she caresses her chin, thoughtfully. "Problem in paradise? Is Lucas not good enough for little the teachers' daughter?"

I bit back a comment, not sure I should be standing up for myself with no one around to help me if she uses her claws to claw my eyes out.

Her eyes go wide, gasping, she covers her mouth with both her hands which made me give her a puzzled look.

"Oh no," she gasps. "did you find out?"

"Find...out?" I ask, not sure what she was reffering to.

"Oh," she says, taken back, blinking ever so often. "You don't know?"

"Know what," I look up to meet her nasty eyes. "exactly?"

She shakes her head, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."

I crease my brows at her as she continues pitying me with her eyes.

"Poor, little Riley. So naïve," she walks towards me. When she was close enough she draws her fingers through my hair that I had let down, loosely over my shoulders. "You know, I feel bad for you."

"Thank you?"

She shakes her head, rolling her eyes, "It's not a compliment," she wasn't afraid to show her mood swings, apparently.

But I was getting sick of her puzzling talk. I carefully bumped her hand away as she was near caressing my face. She send me a glare, taking a step back.

"Look," I start. "Missy, I don't know what you are talking about and I don't think I even want to know. So please," I put my hands up in mid-air as I took a deep breath. "just leave me alone."

"Look bitch," she snarls at me, shooting daggers with her eyes. "either you leave Lucas and no one gets harmed, and yes, I mean you."

I roll my eyes but she didn't care, instead, she continued.

"Or," her lips tugged upwards, forming into a smirk. "you stay with Lucas and get hit by, what I like to call..." she draws, leaving me to wait for her to finish. "...the hurricane."

I couldn't help but arche a brow at her, scoffing loudly so she could hear it. "'The huricane'? Really?"

"You're playing with fire, darling." She comments. "Watch out, at first you know what you're doing, soon, you will lose control of it and it will hit you when you least expect it to."

What is this girl buzzing about?

"You make, literally, no sense, okay?" I say, tired of her playing games with me. "Please just leave before you say something that will make you look even more silly."

She gasps, "You're attacking the wrong person with your words, Matthews. Remember," throwing one last glance back at me as she walks past me. "I warned you, you just have to chose if you want to listen or ignore it."

I bite my lip worridly, watching her turn the corner.

I'm not entierly sure what she was talking about. It had something to do with Lucas, clearly, since she mentioned him. But what if this was her way of scaring me, making me turn my back on Lucas and make a fool of myself?

I know girls' in this school would die to be with the famous heartbreaker, the boy who would please girls' in the janitors closet, behind the benches by the football field or any other place that would pop into their minds. But he isn't that boy anymore. He is trying to behave, be better.

I've noticed the small changes. He settled down on the teachers' daughter, he is commited, trying to do boyfriendish things with me. He wants us to be official.

He asked me to be his girlfriend, in the most romantic way possible.

And no one and nothing can make me thing twice about my decision to give that boy a chance. We have our differences, but we make it work. And this may be my first relationship ever, but it feels right and I know we are going to make it through all the lies and rumors that are going around.

And not even Missy Brdaford will break us apart. I will make sure of that.

__________The End Of Chapter TwentySix__________

Oh wow, it's been a while since I last updated. This chapter is a little dry, not that...interesting, to be honest I had no ideas and inspiration to write for the past month. This chapter may contain a lot of wrong spellings and easy-used words, not that many hard and complicated words and I also noticed how I sucked at explaining reactions, people and actions in this chapter.

Sorry, for such a bad chapter. I will probably make changes in a few chapters [including this one] when the book is finished.

Though, I hope you enjoyed this chapter! What's up with Missy? You think she knows? And if so, how??
