"Ugh, she's nowhere near his type, please."
A gasp, "What a bitch!"
I close my eyes, feeling as weak as I possibly could in this moment.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Lucas' voice rings in my ear. He lifts my chin that fell once I looked down, not wanting him to notice the hurt in my eyes.
"Nothing, I jus-"
"Riley," He says, stearnly. "Why are your eyes red?"
Of course, I was crying.
I shake my head, smiling it off. "Red? Oh, I never got enough sleep."
He shook his head, "No. Don't lie to me."
"Lucas," I sigh, looking around. "Please."
He follows my gaze and notices the people surrounding us, sending glares our, my, way. His body tensed and I felt how he was tightening the grip he had on my arms. His jaw was ticking, clenching and unclenching with every second passing by.
Soon, after a while of him looking down at the floor, he lifts his head. Letting his eyes fall upon the crowd of people surrounding us, he sends them all a glare.
"What?" He spats out, drawing me in, draping his arm around my waist. "Never seen two people kissing before?!"
They all flinch at his sudden rage and no one dared to speak, let along look our way.
"It's called being in love, now, piss off!" He gives them one last glare before he dragged me away from all the stares, all the fussing.
We kept walking, not stopping because of the long hallway that was filled with puzzled looks and glares, thrown our way.
I knew he would be angry, but I didn't expect him to rage out on everyone. It was sweet, how he wanted to protect me. He was acting as if I was some kind of posession, holding a tight grip of my arm as I followed shortly behind him to wherever he was taking me.
"Lucas," I say, trying to catch his attention, but he didn't answer me, nor did he stop.
"Lucas," I say once again, trying to snuggle out of his grip. But there was no use, he was much stronger than me.
"Lucas, you're hurt me." I whine once I feel the sticky, uncomfortable hurt in my arm where he was holding me. I knew he wasn't doing it on purpose, but it still hurt.
That's when he stops, when I say those four simple words. He turns around, looing into my eyes witn worry lacing his eyes. He picked up my arm, rubbing the sore spot, then kissing it softly with his soft, pink lips. I smile up at him.
"I'm sorry, princess." He sighs, "I didn't mean to hurt you, I just," he throws his head bac, groaning loudly.
I place my hand over his heart, cooing him. "Hey, hey," I say in a low voice. "It's okay, I get it. You weren't doing it on purpose, Lucas. You were angry, it's okay."
He shakes his head, cupping my face with his two hands. "It's not okay, Riley. I need to start controling my emotions, try not to rage out like that. Because you're the last one I want to hurt."
I smile, drawing my hand over his jawline. "I know, Lucas."
He grins, leaning in and giving me a peck on the lips when we hear gagging from next to us.
"Ew, stop please!"
The voice's were too familiar to me and I chuckle when I turn my head, seeing Maya and Farkle next to us. Maya was making gag noises and Farkle was making grimaces that matched Maya's noises.
