Kitty's POV

I couldn't stop reading that text over and over again. I'm trying to picture her saying it but it's kinda hard. Every time i read it over, my smile gets bigger. "What are you smiling like a mad man about?" My brother, Doug, looks over at my phone. "Oh, who's Meg?" i turn off my phone and put it in my book bag. "Um...no one that you need to know about." "Is she your future girlfriend?" "I hope so...I MEAN NOOOOOTHING!!" Fuck...why did i just say that? "I get it. There's a girl in my 3rd block who I really like and people say she likes me too but i don't know if i should ask her out yet." "You should know absolutely 100% that she likes you...i did that." "She likes you back?!" "Yeah...so i asked her out." "Is she gonna get a ride there?" "No. I'm picking her up." "How? You know dad won't let you take a girl out on a date. He's against gays." Fuck..."I didn't think about that...I can just say we're going to go study." "Good idea. If he gets suspicious, i'll cover for you." "Thanks big bro." "No problem little sis." The bell rings so i jog to Meghan's class. I wait at her classroom door and when she comes out, she's talking to three other people. One of them has his arm around her. They're probably close friends...don't get jealous. She's not your girlfriend. I walk to her with a fake smile and hug her tight. I move the guy's arm off of her and I scoot in between them. After awhile of us talking, two of the people that she was talking to left. Joey stayed. "I see you've met Joey?" She looks at him and smiles. He smiles back. "Yeah. He's super funny." Before i could speak, Joey bows to Meghan. "Thanks m'lady." She giggles and curtsies. "Your welcome sir." They both laugh and we all keep walking. I took a risk and grabbed her hand. She looks at me and yanks her hand away. "I'm sorry..." She says to me. Meghan runs off and Joey runs off after her. I could see them in front of a bus. He's embracing her tightly. He lets go of her and they stand there for awhile. I start to walk towards them for i could apologize. As i get closer, i watch Joey lean in quickly and kiss her. I stop and watch to see what happens next. I get a little closer to hear what they're saying. "Joey...I..." "Don't worry sweetie. I only did it to calm you down. If you freak out like this again, i will kiss you again. Got it?" "Okay...I'm chill. I'm good." Joey nods at her and walks away. Now i have my chance. I'm going to risk it. I jog to her and hug her. "I'm so sorry. I know your not out yet and i just wanted to see what it would be like to hold your hand. I don't care how long it will take but i'll wait. I'll wait until your out of the closet and i'll be the first to hold your hand." I look down at the top of her head. I kiss the top of her head. Close enough i guess. Meghan looks up at me and smirks. I wink and start walking to my bus. I wonder if it's too early to say i love her...
