Castiel tilted his head and frowned, a
little habit that didn’t seem to
disappear. “No, I’m not kidding you.”Rolling his eyes at Castiel’s tone, Sam pulled out the satellite phone. “Lily.
She has a baby girl, I saw a picture of
her.”Despite Sam dropping the hints, Dean stared at him with wide eyes. “So
what man?”“Well get this, her baby’s name is
Dorothea.”“That could be a coincidence.” Becky
said looking back and forth at the
brothers. What were the odds of
them just suddenly finding the angelic baby?Charlie shook her head as Castiel took a seat, “No. Not in our world. Besides, it’s worth checking out.”
It was weird alright, how Sam and
Dean met the mother of the nephilim. And it definitely wasn’t something
that would just happen.Luck meant nothing, finding the girl, Dean didn’t know if it was good or
bad luck. All he knew, was that the
only job they had was to get to that
girl before Jean did. And he didn’t
care how, but if Jean found that girl,
he was going to take care of the baby. Not in the good way.“Let’s get packing.” Dean ordered the rest of them, “Before she goes Darth
Vader on us.”~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It took nearly two hours to get to the place Lily was residing in. Sam
marvelled at the tall walls that
blocked out the infected. They pulled up to the gates and waited for
someone to come out. Surprisingly,
there was no Crots to be seen for the
last 10 minutes.Sam dialled the satellite phone, “Hey Lily, yeah we’re here. Okay, yeah it’s
no problem.” He finished the call and
grinned at the rest of them, which
was only Charlie, Dean, John, and
Castiel. They decided a small group
would look less suspicious.Becky was voted to stay behind to take care of the rest of the group. Despite the people not trusting her, Dean
knew she was their best chance of
survival. She did survive in Purgatory for a while, even if Benny was there
helping her out, if she got out alive
that meant she had the skills.Besides, Becky was the only other
person who knew what was actually
going on. That’s why Dean left her in
charge of their base. In case
something went south, like it always
does for them. The gate creaked open just enough for their car to pass through. Someone
signaled them to follow them, they
got in a SUV and drove off. “No
welcoming committee? I’m a little
disappointed.” Dean said trying to
hide his uneasiness.Castiel looked out the window of the
van, “She’s here. I can sense her.”“Even without your powers?” Charlie asked a bit shocked. Wasn’t Castiel
completely human now?Nodding, Castiel stared at a certain
figure who was closing the gate. That person looked familiar, but he
couldn’t quite put his finger on it.“How’d you convince them to let us
in?” John asked Sam. It was bad times now, if they let just anyone in, John
was shocked that these people were
still alive.Sam grimaced, “I said we had a
doctor, and that he could check her
sick daughter.”“How’d you figure her daughter was
sick?”“Well I figured, if this was a
soul-sucking nephilim, then maybe
her body wouldn’t be in the perfect
condition.” Sam answered shrugging. It really was just a wild guess, from
what he saw of Lily treating that
picture like it was more precious than gold. The car stopped at a red building, one of the larger houses in the
neighborhood. Lily got out from the
car as everyone got off. “Sam.”
Quickly moving up, Lily hugged Sam
and smiled. “Thanks for coming. I
really appreciate this.”“Yeah no problem. Um… this is John.” Sam pulled away and pointed at John.
John had a tight smile, he held his
hand out. “Doctor John Watson. Nice
to meet you.”“Hello.” Shaking his hand, Lily gave a bright smile. “Really Doctor Watson,
thanks for coming.”“Please, call me John.”
Sam grinned and pointed to Charlie,
“That’s Charlie. She’s kinda like our
technician, so if you guys have any
problems with things, she can help.”Giving Lily a bright toothy smile,
Charlie waved. “Hi!” They had already went over this on the trip here. Each
of them had a certain occupation
which was important to the survival
of a community, and they would use
that excuse to scout the place.“That’s great! Gabo here is our
technician.” Lily nodded her head
towards the man who was just
coming out of the building. “Gabo,
why don’t you take this young lady
and show her our equipments.”“Sure thing boss. I’m Gabo.” He held
his hand out which Charlie shook.
“Come on, I’ll show you around.”Glancing back at Dean who gave her a curt nod, Charlie followed Gabo.
“So…” John clapped his hands
together, “Where’s my patient?”Lily gestured for them to follow,
“Inside. One of my people have been
taking care of her.” She held the door
open for each man to pass through
but stopped Castiel from entering.
“Who’s this?”Mentally slapping himself, Dean tried to think of something. “He’s um…”
“He’s my assistant. Had a couple years of nursing before this shit hole.” John said quickly, slapping Castiel’s back.
Eyeing him warily, Lily allowed him
to pass. “Oh before we go and see my daughter, there’s someone who wants
to see you.” She led them into the
living room.Sam frowned, who here would want
to see them? Unless they wanted to
kill them for the earlier incident.Footsteps of boots walked through the door. The person who stopped sucked in a deep breath and stepped into
the room. “It’s damn good to see you
boys.”
