(Mitch's POV)

I sat down in the graveyard beside Kirstie's grave.
I still can't believe she's gone.
It's all because of a stupid drunk driver.
I hate that son of a bitch.
I sighed and opened up a photo album that I have of us.
I flipped through the pictures and remember everyone of these memories in detail.
I laughed as I saw a picture of when I scared Kirstie.

I eased down the stairs as Kirstie was in the bathroom.
I quietly set up a camera beside the TV and I got behind the couch that Kirstie's phone was on and waited for her.
Five minutes later, she came back into the living room and sat on the couch that I was behind.
Luckily, she did not see me.
She was on her phone and I eased up from behind the couch.
In my head, I counted to three, then...
"BOO!" I yelled and jumped over the couch.
I had jumped over Kirstie and I was going off of the couch, but before I fell, I grabbed Kirstie.
She ended up falling on top of me.
"AHH! MITCH, WHAT THE HELL!" Kirstie screamed, making me laugh.
"Fine, Grassi. You asked for this..." She said.
I instantly turned serious.
She picked up one arm and smirked.
"You. Wouldn't. Darrrre. " I said, knowing what she was about to do.
"Are you sure about that?" And with that, she started to tickle me.
"N-N-No! K-Kirst, Kirstin Maldonado! S-Stop!" I said in between laughs.
She shook her head and continued tickle me.
"S-Stop!" I said and tried to stop her.
But she was strong.
I finally flipped us over to where I was on top of Kirstie and I pinned her down.
She was laughing her head off.
"Payback is a bitch isn't it?" She asked and I giggled.
I pecked her lips and got off of her then helped her up.

I sighed while looking of the screen shot of the kiss.
I really really miss her.
"You know, everyone said that we were a perfect couple. We were couple goals, Kirstin."
I flipped the page and saw a picture of us at the beach when I proposed to her.

Kirstie and I walked to the beach, hand in hand.
I was pretty nervous and my hands were kinda sweaty.
Hopefully she didn't notice.
The reason as to why I'm so nervous is because I'm proposing to Kirstie today.
I'm not nervous because I don't wanna marry her.
I really really do, I'm just scared about what her answer will be.
I'm hoping it's yes.
We finally got to the sand and started toward the water.
"Dammit, I should've brought my swimsuit." Kirstie said.
I giggled.
"It's about to be dark anyways." I said and she shrugged.
We walked along the shore for a bit.
"You know what? Fuck it." Kirstie said and let go of my hand.
She took off her shoes then into the water she went in her loose sleeve long sleeve shirt and shorts.
I laughed.
"What are you doing? You're crazy!" I said and watched her in the water.
"Well you love me so does that make me you crazy too?" She asked and I shrugged.
If loving her means I'm crazy, then I'm insane.
"Mitchy! Come in the water with me!" She whine and I shook my head.
"No way! I don't wanna get wet!"
She rolled her eyes and made her way back to shore.
She wrapped her arms around my neck and kissed me.
This was a passionate, long kiss.
I was so into it that kiss that I didn't realize that she had pulled me into the water.
We were knee deep in water until I realized what happened and she pulled away.
She started to laugh.
"Kirstie Maldonado! You're so mean, you're gonna get it!" I said and she went deeper into the water.
"You'll have to catch me first!" She said as she went deeper into the ocean.
I went as fast as I could to catch up with her.
I quickly did then picked her up bridal style.
"Heyyyyyy Mitch! What's up?" She said, trying to not get what's coming to her.
I pecked her lips.
"More like, what's down?" I said then dropped her in the water.
She stuck her head up and I helped her up.
"I think it was you..." I said and laughed.
"You bitch!" She said and laughed, trying to make me go under the water.
"Not gonna happen sweetheart." I said and picked her up again.
She grabbed onto my shirt, tight.
I giggled.
"Don't worry, I'm not gonna drop you."
I carried her back to shore.
I started to carry her down the beach.
"You know, I have legs. I can walk." Kirstie said and I chuckled.
"No, I wanna carry you." I said and approached a picnic.
I set her down on the picnic blanket.
"Is this for me?" She asked and I nodded.
She did her side smile.
"Thank you Mitchy." She said and I smiled while sitting down beside her.
I smiled.
"Of course!" I said and opened the picnic basket.
"What's in there?" Kirstie asked and leaned over, looking into the basket.
"I've got mac and cheese, your favorite, sandwiches, fruit, chips, and drinks." I said and her face lit up.
"Yay! Thank you Mitchy!" She said and hugged me.
"No problem babe, come on now, let's eat. I'm starving!" I said and she nodded in agreement.
We sat there talking and eating for about ten minutes then I decided that it was time.
I took a couple of deep breaths and looked Kirstie in the eyes.
"Kirst... I've been meaning to ask you something..."
I said and she furrowed her eyebrows together in confusion.
"Okay. What's up?"
I deep a deep breath and got on one knee.
Kirstie's eyes went wide and she covered her mouth.
"Kirstie..." I began, shakily.
"Since we met when we were eight years old, you've been the light of my life. You know how to make me happy when I'm sad. To make me laugh even when I think it's impossible. I can't live without you, Kirst.
And that's why I want you as my wife. So, Kirstin Taylor Maldonado..." I said with tears in my eyes and pulled out little black box.
"Will you marry me?" I asked and Kirstie nodded.
"Yes, yes, yes! One hundred percent yes!" She said while crying.
I hugged and kissed her.
I gently grabbed her hand and slid the diamond ring onto her little ring finger, which was pretty hard because we were both shaking.
She squealed and jumped on top of me.
I giggled.
"I love you." She said.
"I love you, too" I said and cupped her cheek with my hand then connected our lips.

I wiped the tears that had escaped my eyes and flipped the page.
There was a picture of both of us at the hospital when our daughter was born.
Her name is Taylor.
I named her that because of Kirstie.
God, I miss her so much.
She died four days after she had Taylor.
I swear, if I ever find that drunken bastard, then I'm gonna kill him.
I closed the book and stood up slowly.
I wiped away the tears that were running down my face and looked at the grave.

Kirstie Taylor Maldonado
May 16, 1992 - April 18, 2017
A loving mother, wife, and friend.

I kissed my hand then put it on the grave.
"I'll never stop loving you, my angel." I said and let out a loud sob.
I turned around and made my way back to my car.
Once I was in, I calmed myself down then started back home.
After about ten minutes, I arrived.
I got out of the car and walked up to the house.
I opened the door and took my shoes and jacket off.
I saw Avi and Esther sitting on the couch talking.
I sighed.
"Where's Taylor?" I asked walking into the living room, where Avi and Esther were.
"Hey hun. She's in her room asleep. Are you okay?" Esther asked and got up to hug me.
I hugged her back.
"To be honest, I don't know if I'll ever be fine." I said and it was the truth.
I had lost the love of my life, now I have to raise a baby alone.
"Mitchy, it's gonna be okay." Avi said.
I could tell that he had been crying because he had tear stains on his face.
I sighed and nodded.
"How's Scott?" I asked.
"He's... better. But he's still not very good. Therapy is helping though." Esther said.
I had asked because Scott was the one driving and he came out without a scratch.
But, he did see Kirstie's body.
Her dead body.
The doctors said that she died instantly because a limb from a tree struck through her heart.
It was awful.
I can't even imagine how Scott feels.
"I'm gonna go check on Taylor." I said and made my way upstairs to her room.
Once I was there, I saw a baby version of Kirstie squirming around, not crying.
"Hey baby girl." I said and picked her up.
I sat in a rocking chair and laid her in my lap so I could see her face.
"You're so lucky because you have your mothers face." I said studying her facial feature.
She looks so much like Kirstie.
"I wish you could have known her better. She was an amazing woman. She would've been the best mother you could ask for." I said to the infant who could not understand me.
A couple of tears fell from my face.
"All I have of her are, memories. But I'll treasure these memories for the rest of my life."
