KACEY'S POV
I walk into the locker room in the gym to change for volleyball practice.
When I walk out, I see Sara and Adriana sitting there. I walk over to them.
"What are you doing here?" I ask. They look up. "Well, on the morning announcements, they're always saying you make the winning shots. So, we came to see," Adriana smiles.
I know that isn't why they came, but I just go with it. I walk onto the court.
We have two teams at our school, boys and girls. So, we play the other team for practice.
A boy, Alex, serves the ball, and it comes straight at me. I could usually hit a shot like this in my sleep, but I miss. I hear Sara and Adri snicker.
This happens about 5 more times (along with 5 more laughs or snickers).
"Jensen!" Coach Allen calls. I walk over to her. "Yeah?"
She nods her head to the door. "Let's take a walk."
