They were the seekers and I had to hide. I wanted to surprise them by hiding in a really good place and jump out as a surprise. So I ran off, looking for a good hiding place. It was either behind the tree by the swings but I knew they'd find me there. And then there was this big forest nearby. Or, well, not big forest, in that age everything in my eyes seemed big. So I ran to the forest and hid.

In that moment it seemed like a great idea. I was giggling hysterically at the thought of my parents faces once I jump out and give them their surprise.

––flashback––

"...sixteen...seventeen....eighteen...nineteen...twenty! Here we come!" Daddys' voice was high-pitched as he was trying to hold in laughter.

"You better have find a good hiding place, sweetheart, because here we come!" Mummy calls out, laughing.

I covered my mouth with my tiny hands, holding back the giggles. I was crouched down, sitting on my small knees. My two side tonytails were bounsing back and forth, my shoulders going up and down as I giggled quietly for myself.

"Where are you, honey?" Mommy calls out.

I peek out behind the big tree I had hid behind, watching them look for me. They were looking around the whole playground. Behind the tree by the swings, under the bench, behind the slide. Everywhere.

"Hm.." I whine quietly. Why aren't they coming to the forest?

The sky was getting darker, the moon and the stars taking their place up on the sky. It was getting darker and darker by every minute that passed by.

Soon I peek out from behind the big tree again, only to see that they weren't lookin anymore. They were pacing back and forth on the very same spot. My curiosity grew wider as I saw my mommy hide her face behind her hands. Daddy was patting her shoulders, hugging her tightly.

I tilt my small head to the side, watching mommy and daddy with my eyebrows furrowed together.

"Mommy? Daddy?" I say, scared at the sudden change of atmosphere. I didn't want to laugh, giggle and run around. I wanted to be with mommy and daddy.

––end of flashback––

And that's when I felt that large hand on my small shoulder. A little girl, screaming and crying for her mommy and daddy to save her. I remember everything. The black hoodie the man was wearing, the stank of wood mixed with oil reaching my nostrils, making me grimace as tears streamed down my face.

His hand was so large, it covered my whole tiny shoulder.

I shudder as I remember my parents faces when my screaming reached them. They looked terrified, watching their daughter cry, tears streaming down her face as she screams for help. They watched her fight for what seemed to be her life, trying to get away from the man.

They were screaming their lungs out, running towards me. The mysterious man probably got scared, letting go of my shoulder and running the other way into the dark forest.

I fell down to the ground, clutching my chest with one hand, the other I used to pull on my hair. The ponytails were loosen up, the hair ties had fallen down on the ground when I was trying to get out of his hard grip. I screamed, pulling my brown long hair. Tears were streaming down from my eyes, my heart racing at the speed of light, beating hard against my chest.

I close my eyes, thinking back to that night. Mom and dad reaching me, them trying to pull me up and into their arms. But I was in such a shock, screaming once they touched me.
