The sun shown through the blue curtains, I rubbed my eyes before yawning and getting off my bed.

"Lucinda, honey! Wake up!" Mom called from downstairs.

"I'm awake!" I called back, and continued to my bathroom to get fixed up for the day.

I walked downstairs and towards the breakfast table, and snatched a piece of toast off of my plate. I started to munch on it, still standing I glanced at the clock. 'Shoot' , I thought as I took another glance.

"Mum I'm leaving now!" I told her while slipping on my backpack that's filled with nothing but muggle school supplies, no even a quill or parchment. Mum walked down the stairs and gave me a quick hug at the door.

"Stay safe, okay?" she kissed my forehead.

I nodded and hugged back, I waved goodbye while walking halfway out the door. She waved back and then closed the door while giving me a smile, I sighed and started to run towards the muggle vehicle called a bus, that was already crowded by kids wearing the same patterned uniform as me.

I made my way toward the crowed of muggles.

"Oh it's that girl," a brown hair boy pointed at me, a sneer on his face.

"That's the freak." A black haired girl whispered tp her friend.

Another girl nodded, "I'm scared of her,"

"She's in my class, even the professor hates her," a boy laughed to his friends.

I avoided their gazes and stood in the line, we all waited for the bus to open its doors. One by one we filed into the bus, me being me, I was the last one. As I walked onto the bus the only seat left was next to Harry Potter.

I knew he felt uncomfortable wearing his over-sized uniform, and sitting next to the freak of the school, even though we were both called freaks. He didn't complain or make any noises.

The bus was soon filled with laughing, shouting, and yelling.

While the muggles were doing there thing I was doing mine, I pulled out a book and began reading. I glanced to my left and saw Harry looking out the window. It was no surprise of how his aunt and uncle treated him, everyone could tell but knew it wasn't their business.

. . . . . .

It was only half-way in the day and we were outside playing on the playground, I sat alone on the benches and stared as the kids played. I would join in, but they would only push me away.

Suddenly, a pebble was thrown and shot the side of my head. Laughter echoed and footsteps approached me. "Got a problem?" I asked, standing up and facing the gang of kids, all a bit taller than me.

"Yeah, why don't you move?" the boy shot at me, and his friend erupted into fits of laughter.

I don't understand how that was funny. "How about you go back to your mummy?" I teased, crossing my arms and held up a confident look, while on the inside I was about to run away.

He pushed me back harshly.

Yes, yes, the teachers always said when someone was bullying you, then you should tell an adult, yet no one listens to that rule. I charged up and slammed into the boy, pushing him back and slapped him in the face.

He began to wail, alerting the teachers, who came to side almost immediately. He told them I had started hurting him for no reason what-so-ever. even his group of friends confirmed it.

"Headmistress's office!" the teacher shrieked. I wasn't surprised, this wasn't the first time.

As I walked down the hall, escorted by a teacher, I stared blankly ahead, only coming back down to earth when I had entered the office of our Headmistress. It was the usual, getting a talk of discipline and how she was going to phone my parents about my behavior.

"He hit me first," I cried, squeezing out fat tears. What Headmistress wouldn't believe a little girl that is crying her innocence? "I only hit him back because he was being mean! I'm sorry..."

In the end she believed me, which was a first, and I got to go home early. Mum had came to the school, hugging me and asked me is everything was alright.

"You have got any homework?" Mum asked, hanging her coat on the coat rack when we got home.

"You got off work early? Didn't you have an important meeting at the Ministry?" I asked, ignoring her question.

"Why, yes but the meeting finished early and I got home early," Mom answered, then sighed. "What happened today, honey?"

"That bully pushed me and I hit him back," I told her.

"Do you want some pumpkin juice?"

"Yes, please."
