17 Years After
"Mom! I can't find Yuan. He was just in bed when I went to eat."
(remember the names of the twins? Julio Miguel and Juan Miguel...Juan's nickname is Yuan and Julio's nickname is Jules. Jules is the older of the two-author)
"Where did he go? I told you to keep on eye on him. You know your brother."
"Mom!"
"Jules your brother just chases anyone in skirt. I don't know where he got that character. Your Dad wasn't like that."
"But Mom, I have a date tonight. I promised Shanice we're going out tonight."
"I told you no one is going out tonight. If your Dad is only with us here, I will not have a difficult time with you two. "
"He's not here. But you're doing fine Mom."
"I miss your Dad."
"I moss him too Mom."
"So keep Mommy company tonight nomdates. Girl can wait Julio."
"Why can not you not call me Jules?"
"Becauese your Dad named you Julio NOT Jules."
"There's no winning with you. Why can I not go out? Yuan did."
"Dummy hindi ako lumabas no! I went to check the hotel's library, meron pala eh. Ganda."
Yuan and Julio likes reading a lot. They are into sports and all the the stuff. They both like Math and Science and girls.. This April 1, they are reporting to the Philippine Military Academy to be cadets amd soon to be Military officers. Ayoko. As in ayoko sana pero yun ang gusto nila eh. Si Yuan ang nakakuha ng highest honors sa klase nila at si Julio naman ang sumunod na sa kanya. Parati silang naglalaban academically pati sa sports pareho sila. Pero everything is friendly competition sa dalawa. Noong sinabing si Yuan ang valedictorian sa class, si Julio ang tuwang tuwa kasi nanalo siya sa pustahan nila, kaya one month na pagsisilbihan daw ni Yuan si Julio.
They don't have cars. Hindi sila nabigyan kahit na yung parents ni Mike ang isa sa pinakamayamang pamilya sa Pilipinas. Okay lang naman sa kanolang dalawa noong ipinasauli ang mga sasakyan nila sa kanilang Lolo. Buti naintindihan ng lolp nila. Hatid sundo sila sa school, okay lang din sa kanila yun.
