The Aftermath

Alec POV

Jane and I followed as Rose stormed out of the throne room. I was infuriated that they had ruined her party. However I was happy she got to see her sister. I know how much she missed her. I was thankful to Renesmee and Jacob for helping and being kind to Rosalice. Jane and I found Rose in the library. She always went there when she needed to calm down or just wanted to be surrounded by books. We had installed a whole new shelf of books for her as she had gone through a whole shelf in a month. It was cute to watch her read because whenever something she didn't like happened she would scrunch up her face or sometimes have to put it down. We would talk for hours about our favorite books and characters.
"Are you alright?" Jane asked softly. Rose looked at her before sarcastically replying, "Oh yes! I'm just peachy! How bout you?" Jane glared at her playfully and Rose stuck out her tongue. I laughed at their childish behavior to which both girls glared at me.
"No. But really how are you?" Jane asked seriously. Rose sighed and ran her hands through her hair, something she often did when she was stressed or embarrassed.
"Yea. I'm fine. Really. Just a little shocked I guess. .... I never thought I'd see them again." She said honestly. She sat down on the couch and sighed. I knew she was freaking out on the inside, but she had become so well at hiding her emotions that no one would be able to tell. But I knew. All I had to do was look into her eyes, they held pure terror and panic. She was terrified of the fact that, that bastard would take her back and torture her. I motioned for Jane to leave and she sent me a quick thumbs up before walking out. I sat next to Rose and pulled her into my side wrapping a protective arm around her. She sagged into me leaning all her weight on me.
"It'll be ok. I won't let him take you away from me. And Caius damn well won't let him come near you." I said soothingly.
"I know that. But I can't help but feel like no matter what he won't give up. I don't even know why he hates me so much. He's convinced my whole family that I'm some terrible monster because I can't survive off animal blood. I mean I get they hunt animals because they don't want to hurt people. But I don't hurt innocent people. I hunt people who deserve to die." Rose ranted getting more and more frustrated.
"Hey. I know. He's and idiot to call you a monster. You're the kindest, funniest, and smartest girl I know. Everywhere you go people can't help but fall in love with you. You have this passion to help people and you make sure everyone is happy and smiling. You even managed to change Caius. Before you he was cold and mean. He hated everything and everyone, but now he has become a kind, loving man that actually smiles. You've changed this place for the better." I said truthfully. She blushed and looked down, her hair falling into her face. 'Gods she looked so adorable when she blushes.' I thought. 'No stop! Bad Alec. Caius will kill you!' I mentally scolded myself.

Rose looked up at me and smiled brightly. This one I could tell was real, the light reached her eyes. She had the most beautiful eyes I'd ever seen, they were a brilliant ocean blue. "What?" She asked snapping me out of my daze. My intelligent reply was a weird mumble noise followed by a dazed and confused look. "Why are you looking at me like that?" She laughed. If I was human I would look like a tomato. I mumbled a quick nothing and shook my head. She looked at me oddly for a few seconds before shaking her head and announcing she needed a nap. As she passed me she ruffled my hair, to which I shouted in protest, and walked towards her room giggling.

Rose POV

"What?" I asked Alec. He had been staring at me for a long time now. 'Was there something on my face?' I thought. He seemed to snap out of his daze and made an incoherent mumbling noise with an adorable confused look. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I laughed. He looked down mumbling a quick nothing and shook his head. He looked like he would be as red as a tomato if he was human. I looked at him utterly confused as to why he was so embarrassed before announcing I was going to take a nap. As I walked out I ruffled his hair earning a shout of protest to which I giggled. I sighed as I walked into my room flopping onto my bed. My body was tired and hurt all over and all I wanted to do was curl up and never wake up. Sadly my brain had other thoughts and wouldn't let me sleep. My mind was racing, thinking of all the ways he could sneak in and kidnap me. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep that night.

Thud

I groaned as I sat up rubbing my head. I had somehow managed to roll of my King sized bed, that only I slept on, and smacked my head on the floor. 'Great way to start my day.' I thought sarcastically. I dragged myself off the floor and walked into my closet to pick out my outfit. I decided on a a galaxy skater skirt, a long sleeved black crop top, and my low top converse. I quickly took a shower and got dressed. For my hair I was lazy and threw it in a messy bun and then started on my makeup. I just put a little concealer under my eyes, a little mascara, and a pinky nude matte lipgloss. I walked off towards the library. I picked one of my favorites, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, and sat on my favorite chair. I have reread these books about a billion times but I love them even more every time. At around noon I had already finished the book and was trying to decide if I could put off food any longer. Deciding I couldn't I went to the throne room to ask my father and uncles when the next "tour" would be. They told me in an hour, so I had an hour and absolutely nothing to do. Bored out of my mind I decided to wander the castle.

Time skip

I sat in the garden making leaves dance in my hand. When I was bored I would mess around with my many powers. My favorite was controlling the elements. I had complete control over water, air, earth, and fire. I sent the leaves off in a spiraling dance. It was now getting dark so I decided to go inside. I went to my room to lay down because Alec and Jane were on a mission and I didn't know where everyone else was, probably out shopping or something. I changed into my pjs and fell into a deep nightmare filled sleep.
