People tend to talk about the pain

But they never speak about

Beauty

The ways tear fall on paper

Soaking up to form a delicate flower

That simply disappears once dried

The beauty in the scars

Like stalks of bamboo

Growing on forearms

Stomachs

Thighs

Turning a hatred

Into a panda home

The fake smiles

Because maybe smiling more

Could help

As that's what is said

But at least the pain

Pretends to be happy

Maybe it's the beauty

In putting everyone else

Before yourself

But no one seems to notice

It's like the silent elves

Helping the shoemaker

Or the way the darkness

Overtakes your mind

Curling like storm cloud

A beautiful pain

That cannot be taken away

This beauty is portrayed

As an ugly thing

While in reality it's magic

A Siren drawing you in

This is why

You can't run away

Not trying to display depression as a good thing. It showing how though it is considered a bad thing, not a lot of people see beauty anymore. Simply explaining how sometimes it hard to turn away, once you see the beauty.
