Chapter 5

Laura's POV 

I had the dream again. It's like a recurring nightmare. I woke up gagging. Danny was asleep on the chair Carmilla was still sleeping as well. I took a few breaths, got up, and looked at Carmilla. She was cute when she sleeps. I removed the garlic necklace and put it on the desk. I started to undo the rope to let hr free when someone pulled me back. It was Danny.

"What do you think you're doing?" Danny said in a whisper.

"Untying Carmilla. She doesn't need to be tied up. She didn't do anything wrong." I said.

"But she can eat you alive."

"I don't think she's a vampire." I said.

"I....I am."

"What. You are?!?!"

"Yeah. Sorry that I didn't tell you before. I was trying to find the right time to." she said with a tear coming down her face."

"Um....Danny can you go. I got this handled."

"Ok. But don't get yourself hurt."

"I won't. See you in class."

"See ya." Danny left.

"Um.....Carm? Why are you crying?"

"Oh. Uhhh......I guess I thought that since I didn't tell you that you wouldn't want to be friends with me anymore." she said with another tear coming down her face.

"I would never. I want to be friends with you."

"Really?" sniffle.

"Yeah. Your an amazing person." I said with a smile.

"Thanks." sniffle. "Can you untie me now?"

"After you tell em how old you are."I said with a smile on my face.

"Well I am one centuries year old." she said.

"Oh. Wow I didn't think you were that old." I said with a laugh.

"How old did you think I was?" she said.

"Oh. Um....400."

"Really? You thought I was that old?"

"It was just a guess."

"Oh ok."

"Well I'm going to get ready for class."

"Me too." She said

Be both got ready and headed out the door. We walked together.

She looked at me and asked "Where does that door lead to?"

The door on the right of us.

"I don't know." I said.

"Well lets see where it takes us."

"Ok." I said without hesitating.

We walked up to the door. Carmilla was about to turn the knob when a teacher was right in front of us.

"What do you think you two are doing." the teacher said.

"We were just curious as to where that door leads to." Carmilla said.

"What are your two names?" the teacher said.

"I'm Laura Hollis, and this is...." Carmilla cut me off.

"I'm Carmilla Karnstein. And who are you?"

"Well I'm your new math teacher. Mrs.Weber."

"You're our new math teacher?" I said.

"Yes Mrs.Lantz quit." she said with looks like to be an evil smile.

"Why would she quit? She loved her job." I said.

"I don't know. Maybe she got sick of all these little kids living here."

"She wouldn't." I said.

"Well she probably did. Now both of you head to your class." she said and walked away.

"Who does she think she is? She's the worst." I said.

"I know." I stopped right in my tracks, and looked right at Carmilla with my eyes wide open.

"What is it Laura?" she asked with a worried look on her face.

"Danny is going to kill me!"

"Why? You didn't do anything wrong. Right?" she asked.

"Well, I wasn't supposed to untie you."

"Why not?"

"Because Perry, Laf, and Danny thought that you would kill me."

"I would never. I'm your best friend."

"I know. They still didn't need to tie you up. I'm sorry about that."

"It's fine."

"Well we better head to class."

"Yeah. See ya later."

"See ya."

The rest of the day was boring. Homework as usual. I get back to my room and Danny, Perry, and Laf are sitting on my bed with their arms crossed.

"I can't believe you let her go." Danny said.

"What if she hurt you" Perry said.

"She would never hurt me."

"How do you know?" Danny asked.

"Because she told me." I said.

"Oh." Danny said.

"Well we got to go." Perry said.

"Yeah we do. Right Danny?" Laf asked.

"Yeah we got to go. Talk to you later Laura." Danny said.

"Later." I said.
