"So don't call me baby, unless you mean it"

"Lucas." Hannah sighed, hands pressing to his chest as they pulled away from a small kiss.

She explained the situation to him, watching his frown lines deepen once she finished her story. She rejected his offer in help, knowing there wasn't much anybody could do for her case. His phone rung abruptly, his eyes travelling to the device before excusing himself from the room, Hannah sighed, clasping a hand over her mouth as she let out a yawn before making her way to the kids' bedroom to wake them up.

"How dare you not inform us of our daughter's where-abouts!" Mrs Quirk screeched down the phone, her knuckles white from grasping the device as Louis flinched away from his.

"There's too much going on for me to call, I'm on vacation, leave me alone!" Louis snapped back, rubbing fingers on his temple as he tried to assess his issue. They were all due to leave France in less than 24 hours and nobody had the heart to tell Hannah.

"Vacation or not Louis! You know how worried we are about her!" Mrs Quirk's voice dropped slightly, sighing as she sat down on her couch and took her husband's hands in hers.

"We want her to come home." She finally uttered, Louis frowning at his boss' words.

"You neglected her for years and now you suddenly want her back? I call bulłshit." Louis snapped, ignoring Avery's confused glance as he threw a few articles of his clothing into his suitcase.

"We will not allow for you to talk to us with that tone-!" Louis ended the call, throwing his phone across the room and onto his bed whilst throwing more of his stuff into the suitcase.

"You know they do have the right to see their daughter." Avery pointed out, Louis rolling his eyes.

"How would you feel if Hannah refused to let you see Dalton, you are his parent therefore being entitled to see him you know?"

"Ave, shut up for a second yeah?" Avery felt the usual sting of rejection but surge of excitement from the argument, slipping on her shoes and coat before storming out the lodge.

The door knocks suddenly, Louis rolling his eyes once more whilst making his way over.

"Next time you forget your key I'm not letting you back i- Hannah?" Louis stopped abruptly as two kids collided with his legs, stumbling back slightly before a smile overtook his face.

"Hey!" He grinned, picking the two up and squeezing them tightly to his chest as Hannah entered the room and shut the door.

"You had an argument with Avery?" Hannah questioned, trying to ignore the happiness in the pit of her stomach at the thought of them breaking up- she didn't even care how spiteful she was.

"Yeah, it's nothing." Louis chuckled, scanning the room in fear something was out that he didn't want her to see. Hannah couldn't help but notice the suitcases out with clothes packed away. She tried to ignore the fact that they were probably leaving soon as she seated at the foot of a bed.

"Daddy! Mummy say we can eat chips today!" Dalton grinned from ear to ear, Louis couldn't help but think he was looking at his younger self.

"Chips? Wow aren't you both lucky!" Louis showed over exaggerated happiness, before throwing them one after the other onto the other bed. They squealed and giggled when they landed, Hannah couldn't help but join in on their laughter.
