Chapter Twenty Three

It' s been three days since the hobbits Merry and Pippin were taken by Uruk-Hai's and Frodo, and Sam were on their way to Mordor. With two dwarves, a man, and an elf on the mission to rescue the two younglings. They have been going a day so far but stopped in the middle of forest all were asleep but Legolas and Aragorn who were on watch as the two dwarves slept.

"What do you think they were talking about this shall be Reann's last journey, and she confirmed it with Lord Elrond?" Legolas asked Aragorn

"I also have been wondering that myself we shall know when the time is right. I have one question for you, have you fallen for her?" Aragorn asked

Legolas was caught off guard he didn't even know himself. Deep down he knew the answer, he knew how he felt for the female dwarf.

"I am in love her I have been for all these years since I first held her in my arms in the Mirkwood forest I have also been jealous of all her intereactions with men even my own kin." Legolas said

"I know my dear friend I can read you like a book." Aragorn chuckled to himself

Legolas smiled as they continued to talk meanwhile Reann was having a dream, to which turned into a nightmare while she slept next to her best friend.

She was running towards Kili kissing him and pulled away touching foreheads.

"I love you so much and I have for a while now when I fell off the cliff I thought I was dead for sure. I was mad at myself for not telling you sooner but I'm not dead so I'm telling you now." She whispered

"I love you too ever since I laid my eyes on you, will you be mine?" He whispered back

When they were at Beorns house for shelter.

"It feels nice to finally hold you in my arms and kiss you as I please, now amralime get some rest." He told Reann kissing her

Then everything went in fast movements from all their moments kissing and I love you's. It made her dizzy at first until it stopped at the horrid memory, Fili's death. While they were looking out seeing Fili all bloodied up and getting stabbed by Azog, and dropped dead. Finally moving to Kili where Reann watched her past self and Kili

"Kili please don't leave me I-I can't live without you please." Her dream self sobbed

"NO NO PLEASE WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!!" Reann screamed gripping her head

Meanwhile while that was going on back in the real world sobbing was heard Aragorn and Legolas stopped to see Gimli awake over Reann. They walked over there soon hearing sobbing.

"It's happening again." Gimli muttered to himself

"You mean this has happened before?" Legolas asked

"After she came back she wasn't the same she started to have night terrors so bad that all the surviving dwarves from Thorin's company rushed to her room. She would keep us up all night and would only get calmed down once Bofur sang to her." Gimli said

"Go back to sleep Gimli you need your rest we got her promise." Aragorn told him

"Bless you laddie." Gimli said tiredly falling right back asleep

I-Im sorry I love you." He said kissing past Reanns hand one last time and finally breathing his last breath

"I do not want to relive this please someone wake me up." Reann whimpered

"WAKE ME UP!!!" She screamed

"I got this Aragorn." Legolas said

He went by Reann's now shaking figure and carresed her face muttering an elvish chant calming her down. She finally calmed down and was asleep again. Legolas smiled to himself and wiped her tears away taking off his cloak and putting it over her.
