Poem 86 - Breaking Me

This hurts more than it should,

I can't give you what you deserve yet you're still here,

I will be living each day with constant worry

That you will realize who I really am,

And start seeing me the way I see myself,

This isn't healthy for me,

And I don't think it is for you either,

All this has given me is a heavy heart,

I know what this should be like

And what it is are not the same,

I've spent too long trying to fix you

Before I realized you were breaking me.
