Poem 70 - Moonlight

Raindrops can't move mountains,

No matter how hard they try,

On their own they are unable to withstand the pain,

They can't bend things to their will,

As many other things can,

A flashlight can't scare away the

Monster under your bed,

All it can do is give you a sense of security,

And help you be brave enough

To fight it yourself,

Moonlight cannot blind the sinners,

Instead it lights their way,

Softly and gently,

Guiding them away from the path they are on,

Hoping and praying that their delicate tactic

Will come out successful,

But as I try to guide you all I seem to do is hurt you,

You know not of what you are doing,

And how much it hurts me to watch,

But perhaps I should be more like the moonlight,

Carefully setting down the knife in your hand,

And kissing your cuts and bruises.
