Poem 52 - A Little Less

We build walls to keep the inside out and the outside in,

To try and forget everything we've known,

We've been doing this ever since they told us to start letting things go,

It's been years and I'm just now learning,

Learning how to give things up but not give in,

I tried to convince myself it doesn't matter but that's hard,

And it takes time,

Luckily I've had a lot of that,

It scares me sometimes,

That I've built a protective fortress,

Around myself,

But I really think it's more of a good thing that I'm learning to

Care a little less.
