'1. Facing Thomas'

Thomas hasn't woken up... Yet he's standing right in front of me.

He is standing in front of me, and I'm standing in front of him, and he's fucking looking at me. Like, who does that?

Not people. Definitely not people when I'm a trait that they're in possession of. He's not supposed to be able to see or know of me at all, I talk to him with his own voice, this isn't meant to be happening.

It's a coma dream- or at least that's my theory. I know of them, but I never thought that I'd end up in one. As a person.

I'm a person in Thomas's coma dream. Aren't people in coma dreams and dreams in general only supposed to be able to dream up faces they've already seen, if only briefly?

Well, I do have his face.

But I'm a person! And I hardly see the resemblance between us anyway, despite us... Being... Identical. Okay, I take that back. Maybe I just refuse to see the similarity, like I do with Prince.

"Hi." He says to me, smiling nervously.

Did I mention I'm a high school student? No clue how I ended up here, but nevertheless I abandoned the darkness for a school desk and a maths teacher lecturing me on falling asleep in class, despite me never going to school.

And then Thomas shows up as the new student some minutes later, and the chair beside mine was the only empty one. And now he's here, talking to me.

No one's saying anything about the identical thing, either. They don't even seem to have noticed... Mind-bendingly strange, this is.

"Hi." I then say, awkwardly, and move my gaze to the board as if I haven't been glare-staring at the guy for the previous five minutes. He isn't commenting on our matching faces.

"I'm Thomas." He says, forcing my attention back to him.

For a few seconds I lose the control over my body.

"I'm Anni," it replies.
