Run as fast as you can: A plot twist

We get my arm checked out and they decide I should probably get stitches. The nurse was surprised when I told her I didn't want any of the numbing stuff. It hurt a little but not much. The pain of a needle going in and out of my skin is better than being shot or stabbed. Shane gave me this weird look and asked if I even felt pain. I give him a small smile. The nurse finishes up and sends us on our way. Shane and I discuss if I want to stay with him or go out on my own. Obviously I want to go out on my own, but Shane protests. 

He takes me out to breakfast and we kind of discuss my other family members I have out there. I kind of hint that I want to go find them too and tell them that Caitlyn has died. Shane picks up on that hint and agrees to helping me find my other family members.  "Do you have any idea on where they might be? Do you know their names?" Shane asks. "Well, I don't know where they are.. But I do know their names. Douglas, Matthew, Mia, Astrid, Natalia, and Maddilyn." I reply. He gives me an awkward look before saying, "Wow.. 'lotta siblings there." I laugh at that. "Yeah..." 

Shane and I head back to his place and use his computer to try to track down my siblings. Surprisingly, Shane is really good with computers. We first off start with Astrid and search her up. A lot of people named Astrid Mason pop up, but one girl really stands out to me. She looks the closest to Caitlyn and I. The girl works at a hospital really close by. I get really excited and hug Shane tightly. "Oh my god.. this could be her. This could be my sister!" I squeal. "Alright, tomorrow we'll go to the hospital she works at and see if she's there." Shane says. "Okay.. Thank you so much. Thank you for all of this. I really appreciate it, Shane." I say. He gets this big smile on his face. "It's no problem. I really am enjoying helping you out." He says.

The next day finally arrives and we drive to the hospital. Shane stays out in the car while I go inside. A nurse with a friendly smile walks up to me. "Hello there, can I help you with anything?" She asks. "Um.. yes.. I'm looking for a person. Her names Astrid Mason. Have you heard of her or know where she is?" I ask. "Why, I am her. What can I help you with?" She asks. I start to get even more excited. I calm myself down though because theres a good chance this might not be her. I explain everything to Astrid and she gives me this look. My stomach drops and makes me think that this isn't her. Then she takes me over to the corner and says, "Sweetie, whats your name?" I reply with Destiny. "Oh my god.." She says and hugs me. Right then and there I knew I had the right person. 

During her break we talk about everything that has happened. She tells me how proud she is of me for taking down the Government by myself. Then Astrid asks me about Caitlyn and says that she's really worried about her. Astrid was talking to her about a week ago but then stopped hearing from her. She knows she has lung cancer but doesn't know how it's treating her. I give her a sad look. "I-I'm sorry...but Caitlyn died yesterday. Her body couldn't take the cancer anymore and just.. gave up. I am so sorry." 
"No, no. You're joking right? Caitlyn's not dead! She can't be!" Astrid cries out "Tell me your joking!"
"I-I wish I was.." I say quietly "I wish I was.."
