Run as fast as you can: A plot twist

Plotting against the Government isn't easy. We both know they're stronger than us and the guards could easily kill us or the Governor could decide that he wants to begin performing experiments on us again. The thought of being tested on again sends a shiver down my spine. They don't care if you're in a lot of pain or are too weak. They'll push you and push you until they think you're done for the day, and then it all repeats the next day. 

During night time I swear I hear someone outside. Curiosity gets the best of me and I grab my gun, a flashlight, and go outside. From what I can tell, theres no one outside. I shine my flashlight at one of the trees and see someone move to the left a little. I get my gun prepared and carefully walk towards the tree. "Who the hell is there?" I say firmly. No response. "Fine.. be that way then." I think to myself, aim my gun in a different direction, and pull the trigger. Whoever is behind the tree flinches and lets out a slight gasp. 

"Come out from behind the trees!" I shout. "Okay..okay!" The person replies and slowly walks out from behind the tree with their hands raised. I shine my flashlight on them to get a better look at the person. It's a man who's about 6'0, dark brown hair, and pale skin. Just looking at him makes my stomach fill with butterflies. Ya know, the feeling you get when you find someone attractive. "No, Destiny, you can't find him attractive. You have no time for this stupid relationship crap." I think to myself.

After interrogating him for about ten minutes, I learn he's originally from the UK but just moved here a couple of years ago. His name is Marcus and he's twenty-one years old. Marcus has no want to hurt me and was just out walking around in the woods, but when he heard me he freaked out and hid. Just proves how much of a "man" he is.. 

Caitlyn comes out to see what all the commotion is and freaks out when she sees Marcus. She assumes he's here to kill us and tries to attack him. After five minutes I finally get her to calm down. "Look, I'm going to leave now. Obviously I'm not wanted here." Marcus says. "No, stay. I mean, if you want to. We could use more help, right Caitlyn?" I ask. She takes a minute to reply. "Fine.. but if he does anything dumb, he's out." She says "Got it?" 
"Got it.." I reply.
