Ethan's POV:

She was my friend's sister. I didn't know much about her, hell, I hadn't said more than two words to her but, I felt some sort of attraction to her.

She was shy. She liked to read. She drank a lot of tea. She always wore a sweater and had her long, black hair in some type of braid or messy bun.

Her brother was the opposite of her, even though they were twins. He was athletic, loud, and had a huge ego. He was a good guy, though. He looked out for her. I think all of his close friends looked out for her, as well. Including me.

Her brother partied every weekend while she stayed at home reading. He talked to everybody, she talked to, maybe, two people.

The girls at our school were completely different. No girl was like her, at all. I think that's what I like about her. The other girls are attention hungry and, dare I say, whores. It's rude but, that's the only thing to describe them. They try to be friends with her, only to get close to her brother or his friends. It never worked. She was too smart to fall for it.

I wish I had the balls to talk to her. Like, actually talk to her. I know, Ethan Dolan, one of the most popular guys, is too nervous to talk to a girl. I have a fear of rejection but, only from her.

I was in my english class, just looking over at her. Her dark hair was in a braid today, wearing a maroon sweater. She was reading a book, as usual. Her olive skin glowed. Her glasses framed her flawless brown eyes. I could watch her for hours.

"Hey, Dolan." Her brother, Bryce, said as he sat next to me. He took off his letterman jacket and laid it on his desk, just as I had did with mine when I had gotten to class.

"What's up, man?" I asked, turning my attention to him.

"You still coming over after practice?" He asked, nodding at some girl as she walked in.

"Yeah, bro, of course." I nodded. He knew I'd be there, I was there almost every day. I always hoped to have some encounter with her but, that usually never happened.

"Mr. Crosby, please get to your seat." Our teacher, Mrs. Santiago, said to Bryce.

He got up and sat next to his sister. She closed her book as he started to talk to her. He talked so loud compared to her. He wasn't even talking that loud. For hardly never talking, she seemed to talk to him an awful lot. I wish she would be that comfortable with me.

Our teacher started to take role as my brother, Grayson, hurried in and sat next to me, where Bryce was sitting previously. I hated that he sat on the left of me because it blocked my view of her.

"Bryce Crosby, I know you're here." Mrs. Santiago said, giving him a look. He smiled at her.

"Ashlynn Crosby, hi, sweetheart." She said to her. She just smiled in return. God, I love her name. It's one of those that just sound so perfect.

"The Dolan's, Grayson almost late, as usual." Mrs. Santiago said and I chuckled.

After role, Mrs. Santiago decided to give us a free period, considering it was Friday and we finished our work yesterday.

Bryce quickly came over and sat on the other side of me. Ashlynn opened up her book and started to read again.

"Gray, you coming over later?" He asked excitedly. He was always so overexcited.

"Yeah, man." Gray nodded.

On Fridays, Gray and I, usually stay the night at Bryce's house. It's my favorite because I get to see Ashlynn during breakfast.

I looked over at her, pretending to listen to Grayson's story. I watched as she pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose, her nose scrunching up as she did so.

The bell rang sooner than I had wanted. I always hoped the day would go quick because, I didn't have another class with her until the last class. History.

Sometimes, I even hoped the library would be closed for some reason during lunch so that I could see her then. I know Bryce would have her sit at our table if that were the case.

God, please let me end up with her.
