Percy's POV:

As I fell, I thought about my life. I thought about how it started off simply and got worse and worse. I thought about the first monster I ever encountered, Gabe Ugliano. I smiled at the memory of him being turned into stone by Medusa's head. I remembered the quest to the sea of monsters to retrieve the golden fleece from Polyphemus. Memories continued to flow through my mind as I continued my decent into the pit. After about an hour I felt the hole I was falling through open up and I sighed.

'Well, new life... here I come...' I think to myself as I down and notice the river Styx beneath me, I smile sadly as I brace myself for unimaginable pain

I hit the river with a loud splash and I close my eyes and wait for my death. After a few moments, I started to become impatient, I opened my eyes and noticed I had sunk down to the bottom of the river and still wasn't feeling any pain. I crossed my arms and sighed.

'I guess the fates don't want me to die yet. Great, they just absolutely LOVE messing with my life...' I think to myself as the murky water shimmered in front of me

I raised an eyebrow as the water took the shape of a beautiful nymph who had her arms crossed as she looked at me with a look of slight amusement.

"Perseus Achilles Jackson, son of Poseidon, Hero of Olympus twice over, bearer of the Achilles Curse, Praetor of the Twelfth Legion. What brings you to bathe in my river again? Did you love the feeling of the water on your skin so much you had to dive in again?" Styx said with amusement in her eyes as she regarded me

"Lady Styx" I bow my head slightly to the River Nymph "And its Former Son of Poseidon. I am now just the son of the Sea." Styx looks at me for a moment before she smiles

"Well Perseus, I sea a bunch has changed since your last visit to my river. I'm shore you have enough time to update me on the current events on Olympus" Styx says while smiling and I look at her incredulously

"Whale, everything was going fine until a few hours ago, I found out that Annabeth cheated on me while I was doing tasks to ask for her hand in marriage... Poseidon tried to disown me, but only managed to take away my parentage and not my powers. Then I was told I was to powerful so Zeus sent me down here to Tartarus for the rest of Eternity, oh yeah I'm also immortal..." I say with a slight sad tone which Styx picks up on and floats over to me

"You've lost so much, I can feel you losing hope..." Styx said and I looked at her "If you can't tell, the reason why my waters are murky is because everyone who dies and crosses my river loses hope that they will never complete their dreams..." she finishes sadly and I look around and I notice something

I swim over to the object and I pick it up and look at it sadly as Styx floats over to me.

"It looks like you found the dream you've given up on... it causes me pain... yes it's a small object but the dream behind it was powerful..." Styx says in a weak voice as she looks at the ring in my hand

Third Person POV:

Percy stared at the ring for a moment before he started muttering something. Styx looked at him curiously as she felt a shift in the way her currents flowed. Normally they flowed with a feeling of lost dreams and lost hope, but right now she felt a surge in what could only be described as pure determination. That's when Styx noticed Percy clench his fist that held the ring and a pulse of pure energy radiated from it. Percy's eyes glowed sea green with power as he slowly raised his voice so Styx could hear him. Styx realized that Percy had started singing and for some reason the more he raised his voice the more power he radiated.
