"Now, Smokescreen. Please try to remember that we're only snuffing the Vehicons. We're just going to at least offline any generals and commanders: Starscream, Soundwave or Knockout. We're here to be quiet and get the other bots out, absolutely nothing more." Smokescreen tiptoed around the left flank of Ultra Magnus as they stuck to the shadows in the hallway.
"What about Summer? Aren't we going to grab her and go too?" Ultra Magnus paused for a second, looking down at his pedes, making his ultimate decision.
"Right now our first priorities are at least getting Optimus and Ratchet off of the Nemesis, the others are not. . . essential to our fight. We must have a leader and a medic. My decision is final." Smokescreen didn't fight in the matter, which was very surprising, he usually had an opinion about everything.
The two of them worked their way down the halls, taking out all of the troops that stood in their way as silently as they could before any of them had the ability to address someone in their comm link. The bots were quite successful for the most part, it was finding a good place to hide the bodies afterward that was a little difficult for them. They were just walking about a straight hallway most of the time with no smaller doors or forks in their direction, so their places and chances of hiding a body successfully were very slim.
Ultra Magnus did not dare depart from Smokescreen's side. Knowing the young bot, he would find some trouble and possibly jeopardize the mission. They continued to go down halls, taking random turns here and there depending on the security and troops about. Ultra Magnus came to assume that the more troopers they found per hallway, the closer they were to getting to Optimus and the rest of the team. It wasn't long before the two blue bots finally got a message from Wheeljack, who was letting them know that he was ready whenever they were. Ultra Magnus commed him back quickly, telling Wheeljack that from what they knew of, the two of them hadn't yet found where the team was being held hostage. They would give him the go when they were ready.
Meanwhile, with the Team
Optimus was beginning to doubt that either of the two bots were coming for them, it had to have been hours of sitting in mostly silence with Summer, or Airachnid, or Airachummer? Ratchet was not doing well sitting in her presence. He could see Summer but he couldn't talk to her, nor could he address her in any matter. Optimus watched the medic, who was constantly studying his pedes like they were the most fascinating things he had ever seen in his life. Optimus had come to believe that this was currently helping him cope with his feelings, which was an odd way to do so but it seemed to be effective at the moment. Five pairs of blue optics looked up when all audio receptors picked up the sound of the door to the room they were being held in hissing open. A trooper walked in, looking a little nervous.
"You called, Lord Megatron?" He said flatly but you could still hear the tremble in his words. Megatron whipped around, glaring at the trooper, who's knees were now shaking with nerves.
"I did not call. Get out." He commanded quickly. While this small conversation was happening, another one was happening as well, in all of the Autobot's comm links.
"I suggest you kids duck, unless you want your pretty optics burned outta your helms." Every Autobot in the room ducked to the left, besides Ratchet, who was looking even more depressed then ever. As the trooper was leaving, there was a large explosion straight through the wall of the Nemesis. The wall had been melted through with a high heat explosion; one of Jackie's grenades had done the trick. There was a sharp yell from the other side of the melted wall and Wheeljack somersaulted through the opening, pulling his blades from the sheaths after taking a few shots through the back of the trooper that left the room. Megatron was easily caught by surprise, turning quickly to take a glance at Wheeljack, who also happened to be charging him at top speed. Airachnid looked as though she was struggling to process anything, her pedes refusing to move and her optics flickering between blood red and a beautiful shade of green. Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen were just in time, Smokescreen flying past Megatron at top speed straight to Optimus. Ultra Magnus took a wild but calculated swing to the back of Megatron's helm and he actually made contact. The Decepticon leader lurched forward, sprawling out on the floor and screeching to a halt quickly. Wheeljack kept his battle stance wide, waiting for an attack from the grey mech. Megatron struggled to his pedes, calling for backup on his comm, which fizzled out as he began to speak.
"You disabled my comm. How rude." He growled. Wheeljack's mask slid into place, covering the lower half of his faceplates. The sword in his right hand twirled, whistling through the air. An unnoticeable smirk appeared beneath Wheeljack's mask.
"Bring it on, bucket head." Bulkhead cheered his buddy on in the background, Smokescreen still working on Optimus's cuffs.
"Yeah, Jackie! Beat his aft!" Megatron lifted his left arm, aiming his fusion cannon straight at Wheeljack's spark chambers, but just before he was able to pull the trigger Ultra Magnus hit him again on the back of the helm with the same metal piping. Megatron roared in frustration, whipping around and taking random shots towards the direction of Ultra Magnus. Each energy beam missed, colliding with the wall off to the left of Ultra Magnus.
"Megatron!" Optimus was on his feet, his right arm transforming into his own fusion cannon and firing two shots, both colliding with the back of Megatron's shoulder plates. The Decepticon lurched forward and Wheeljack darted towards him, swinging his right blade as hard as he could for the Achilles gear. The sword made contact and slid through the gear like it was made of soft tissue. Megatron dropped to one knee, his optics blazing with a dying adrenaline and ever growing fear of the unknown.
In this time, Smokescreen had managed to free all of the Autobots from their binding and now he was attempting to convince Ratchet to at least get to his pedes. The medic brushed off all of the recruits pleas, remaining seated and staring through the hole in the wall of the ship they were being held captive on. Optimus called Smokescreen over and commanded the bots to secure Megatron down, just so they could have a chance to escape. The request was quickly followed through without any complaints and Wheeljack made his way over to Ratchet to see if he could convince him to get to his pedes.
"Come on, Sunshine. Look, she's not even attacking anyone, she just looks confused. I'll knock her out and you can carry her back to the base, how 'bout that, Docbot?" Ratchet growled, jumping to his pedes and shoving Wheeljack out of the way, making a beeline for Summer.
"My name isn't 'Sunshine' or 'Docbot'." Wheeljack made his way over to Optimus as Ratchet closed the distance with the female Prime.
"Well, Optimus. I'm going to see if I can get my ship a little closer to the Nemesis, so nobody's jumping to their deaths. I'm sure I can fit everyone, if everything goes as planned." Optimus nodded for him to get the plan rolling and Wheeljack did as he promised. Ratchet was carefully examining Summer, or Airachnid. Her optics were now flickering on and off again like she was going to offline. She did, right into his arms. Ratchet didn't say a word, nor did he look at the other Autobots, who were staring at him.
Of the Autobots that got on the Jackhammer; which were all of them, Ratchet was the first to climb aboard with the femme in his arms. He refused help of any kind and ignored everyone on the ride back to the base, which everyone thought was a little odd of him but no one complained. The team made it back to their base without any issues or troubles of any kind. Now all they had to do was find a different place to stay, and fast.
Hello my dears. This is pretty much an apology for not updating this for a long time, I'm a disappointment to humanity, I know. I was having some troubles with my mental health so some of you might understand and others might just be straight pissed to the point of insanity. I'll try to update more and more and maybe a little more often but I'm not sure how well I can do. I'm not saying I'm losing an interest in this story because I'm not, I love it very much and I love you guys for staying vigilant through all the cringy parts. Thanks kids.
IMPORTANT::: I would like to ask you guys if it's okay if I start a Transformers one-shot lemons fanfiction??? Because I read those, isn't it obvious? I'll be taking requests but my plan is to not do any mechxmech or oc one-shots; this is all x READER so your point of view. Also, it will always be a femme reader if the request is a mech and vice-versa. But I would like to know if you guys would enjoy that kind of thing because in the last chapter I had touched base with the act of interfacing and I was wondering if you guys would like to see that come from me. OKAY THANKS FOR ACTUALLY BEING REALLY COOL I LOVE YOU GUYS
