Sam's POV

First day of band camp god I'm so nervous. What if I get made fun of for messing up a note or something. "Come on sweetheart it's time to go" my mom said opening the front door "okay" I said back almost in a whisper. We walked out to the car and drove to band camp "bye Sam" my mom said driving off "bye" I waved to her. Oh god Mary. Mary is this drum major who absolutely hates me because I like guys. All the sudden a brunette boy walks up to me "she's hot huh" he says starring at Mary "uh I guess" I said looking at him nervously "I'm Colby by the way nice to meet you" he said holding out his hand for me to shake it "I'm uh I'm Sam" I said shaking his hand . "You seem shy" he said "a little" I responded chuckling a bit. He looked back at Mary  "If I talked to her I'd probably cry before I got any words out" he laughed "yeah me too" I agreed smiling but my reason why I'd cry is she might make fun of me again. "Hey there's a smile" Colby said putting his hand on my shoulder and shaking me a little. I blushed hoping he didn't notice I looked over at him and he was still smiling at me dare I say it.... he's actually pretty... cute? "Maybe we'll be lucky and get the same Cabin" he said taking his hand off my shoulder "ya I hope so" I said back. We went to the cafeteria building (idk what it's called) and sat down next to each other. "Sam Golbach and Colby Brock you will be bunking together you have cabin 12" a man yelled from the front of the room. "Yes" me and Colby high fived each other. "We should go find our cabin" Colby said getting up "I guess" I said getting up after him and walking outside behind him. We eventually found our cabin. "I get why they only bunk two people together" I said looking around the small cabin placing my bags on a bed "me too" he said doing the same. "So" he said pausing "uh wanna play the question game" he asked excitedly since today was supposed to be the chill day so we can unpack and stuff "I guess" I said back opening my bag to get out my bed stuff "what's your favorite color" he asked "white" I replied "what's your favorite color" I asked "blue" he said back "have you ever had a girlfriend" he asked pulling out a blanket from his bag. "No" I said folding over my blanket nicely. "What instrument do you play" I asked sitting on my bed "clarinet" he said. "What sexuality are you" he asked sitting next to me "uh I don't wanna play this game anymore" I said looking down. "Fine but you have to answer this last question" he said facing me "gay" I mumbled as quietly as I could looking the other direction he gave me a 'what' face and I said "I-I'm gay" I looked down ashamed. "Oh cool I'm bi" he said laying back on my bed. "Your not grossed out or anything" I asked "no why would I be you like who you like" he said shrugging. I smiled I'm so glad he doesn't care that I'm gay most people would be disgusted or make fun of me for it. He sat back up after a bit of silence. "Are you almost done unpacking cuz we can go adventure in the woods if you want" he said "yeah that'd be cool" I said back getting up. We walked out of the cabin and went into the woods. "It's pretty here huh" Colby said smiling a little "yeah" I smiled back. After walking around for about an hour we seen a tree house "woah an abandoned tree house we have to check it out" Colby said running towards it. I hesitantly followed him inside to see a old couch and a couple games. "This place is so cool" Colby said sitting on the couch "Colby get off there your gonna get a disease" I said backing away. "I'll take my chances" he said chuckling. I continued to back up to the edge of the porch "Sam be careful you're gonna" he was cut off by me screaming when all the sudden I feel two hands around my waist being held tight in a hug and being pulled forward "are you okay Sam" Colby says worry in his eyes feeling all over my body. Instead of responding I just hugged him, nussled my head in his neck and started to cry lightly "I'm fine thanks Colby." He hugged me back and we kinda just stood there like that for a while.
