Hello everyone. One last chapter, which is going to be rather short and i'll post tonight. Then the epilogue, it's probably not going to end the way you guys were expecting, but after alot of consideration i decided to end it completely different than I thought I was going to. Also the picture i'm posting is kinda what i pictured Carson to look like when he is fighting in the 'war'

Thanks for seeing it through to the end guys. You guys are awesome.

:)

Chapter 27: Rise To The Occasion.

3rd person

Carson quickly pulled a knife from a holster on his hip, He slashed through a vampires throat. He held him as he twisted the blade in his juggler. Black liquid spilled all over the ground. The vampire grunted and gurgled falling to the ground. Carson pulled out a butane lighter and set his clothes on fire. Setting a vampire on fire was the only effective way to kill him without him reviving him self. He continued his hunt. he could sense Ashton near, Carson could smell his frustration. He felt my fangs pierce my gums, this time he didn't stop it. Carson's inner vampire and him were on the same side. They both wanted Ashton's blood for threatening their mate.

Carson felt someone jump on my back. He growled and turned to see Ashton's second in command Turner.

“Looking for something half breed?” Turner hissed.

Carson's vampire hissed back. Carson threw my head back laughing.

“If you walk away now I’ll let you live. Maybe.” Carson said in a husky voice.

Turner growled.

“You will not hurt my master.” He said circling me like Carson was his prey.

Carson smirked and circled with him.

“Master? Tsk. I didn't take you much as the whipping boy type, but I suppose you are. Let me ask you this. Did he make you because you asked, or did he steal your humanity?” Carson asked.

Turner snarled.

“That's none of your business, and how do you know I’m not a born vampire.” He countered.

Carson laughed and quickly cut him on the cheek with a quick trained swipe from his blade.

He wiped the murky liquid off my blade and brought it to his mouth, and tilted his head. Carson could smell the fear in the young vampire.

“Did you see that? The color? If you were a real vampire your blood would be a deep crimson. You are nothing more than a pawn in his game, a creation of convince not of love, or loyalty. He doesn't give two shits about you, or any of these men dying for his cause. He made you because no one else would back him because he is a rogue.” Carson said getting inside his head.

“NO! You are wrong! He promised me great treasures when he rules with Riley!” Turner said.

Carson snorted.

“Look around boy, he is losing. If you stand down now, I’ll let you go home.” Carson said.

Turner glared at Carson.

“I will fight.” He said lunging at me.

Carson quickly side stepped Turner's attack. He skillfully pulled the sword from the holster on Turners back. Carson turned quickly so Turner's back was to him., Carson brought the gleaming sword to the young rogues neck slicing in one fluid motion. The young vampire's head rolled to the ground. Carson felt a sense of dread, he wished he could've spared him, but Carson's vampire was not having prisoners. He was out for blood.
