Hi there! I know I might have promised you all an update on 14/02, but my exams are starting the next week and I thought I might update before I disappear for this month. Enjoy :)

Also, I am sorry for any wrong details I got about my character Nishan Khaise. I did my fair share of research, but if I did it wrong please inform me. I would like to rectify the mistake. I wanted this character to be aromantic. I tried.

"Lord Taraq Pierce of Tantalia is the present economic minister." Estelle read out. "He announced that iron coins will be put in use and its value lesser than bronze."

"What he has to reduce?" Nishan groaned. "Fifteen bronze make a silver. Ten silver make a gold. Now we need iron too?"

Taryn gave her brother an impassive look. "Is it the calculation that irks you?"

"Obviously," Nishan, the replacement of her fourth protector answered.

"Continue." Cahira nodded at her head defender playing with her long chain.

"General Warddis have given hope, my lady," Estelle said. "He says that King Kinsey Cathale had agreed to support us."

"King?" Nishan asked. "He is brave enough to crown himself."

She bit her lips to prevent a smile from spilling. Kale was a prince. Estelle gave her a knowing amused look and cleared her throat.

"That is all the message Commander Rysen has for us." She closed the parchment and placed it on the ever piling table. "He also says that he will come after he sees how everyone trains and help them train for our terrain."

Cahira closed her eyes and frowned. Over thinking was not helping her. She wanted to relax in hot baths and doll herself up, just for a night. The muscles in her shoulders were already going taut and her lungs constricted with every breath she inhaled.

Her study doors opened, revealing a furious Commander. His walk was controlled and his jaws were clenched. What did she do now?

"General Cahira." Commander Rhisiart stated. "I believe you gave me the work of protecting the royal family."

She blinked. "I did."

"Then why you are not allowing me to do my work?" he thundered. "I know you rank above and you have power to send me out of this post for speaking this to you, why you might even send me to prison. But you have to listen. I watched you grow. I trained you when you were young and I loved you like a daughter and I cannot lose you."

The lines that appeared on her face because of the first few words, vanished. Her five protectors fell into silence looking at each other, perhaps waiting how she might react.
