"Mmm." I grunt, too tired to argue. After Hobi takes a swig from his drink, he sighs, shaking his head. "What?"
"Noth-"
"Just tell me."
Another sigh. "You're like a younger brother to me Jimin, I don't want to see you getting hurt, physically or emotionally." He looks away at the last statement, staring at his reflection while he drinks some more.
"You act like I'm a child." My anger boils up, the way that people have been treating me has finally reached it's limit.
"That's not what I meant. If you push yourself again, we might not be able to perform at al-"
"We have less than 2 weeks Hoseok! Just let me do this, I know what I'm doing." I stand up quickly, spots appearing in my vision from the limited oxygen intake. "Are you gonna get up or not?" His jaw tightens from grinding his teeth, standing up into position, a few feet away on my left.
"Let's go."
Even with the sour mood stuck in the air, I wanted to make things up quickly since I had a surprise for him on the way back. "Alright, that's enough for today." I breathe out, packing up my stuff.
His eyebrow raises, looking at the clock. "It's only six."
I shrug, trying to think of any excuse off the top of my head. "Oh uh, my ankle is acting up so... let's just eat and play video games for the rest of the afternoon." He's not buying it. "At your place though cause my place is a mess." He nods slowly, picking up his stuff as well.
"Alright. I'm tired anyways." He stretches out his legs when everything is ready and I join him, not wanting to feel sore tomorrow. After we finish, we hop into his car and I send a text to Taehyung that we're coming over.
Do you have everything ready? Cause we're coming over now!!! Should I stall?
No it's fine! Everyone is here, we are all excited!
I bite my lip upon reading that little word. Everyone. He could be there, right? "Is everything ok? You look worried." I didn't know I was an open book.
"Yeah I'm fine." He pulls into the driveway, turning off the ignition and stepping out. I follow after him, getting my bag now cause I know I won't have time later. He stops in front of the door, confusing me since I thought he would use his keys.
"Do you wanna go out instead? I know that you might not know this but... it's an important date-"
"Just open the damn door to your house Hobi." I grin and he laughs too, turning back around to unlock his door.
"Alright, alright. We have to shower first anyw-"
"Surprise!"
