Description: New player at Go. Studies in 6th grade in National Junior High School. [Different school than Akira's. I don't know his school name ^^']

GAME TO LOVE

Hinata pov:

"Aww man! I cant believe how bad I am at Go!" I fell back on my bed and slammed the pillow on top of my face in embarrassment.

I had been playing Go for the past year and I was still sitting at level 18Kyu....and that was really really low. I had tried reading books, watching videos of games but I just couldn't understand the game at all! All the moves were so complicated and I didn't understand the reason behind them. I tried to watch for the moves and remember them, but everytime a new move was played, I forgot the previous one.

I sighed and moved my pillow just enough to expose my eyes. I stared at my ceiling hopelessly. "I wish I had a teacher...." I muttered and my voice was muffled by the pillow.

We were what you would call an average family. My dad was the only one who earned and we couldn't spend money very much on things that we wanted. Besides, I had a younger brother and a baby sister. One time I had asked father if we could hire a Go teacher since I wanted to play and get a chance at playing in the tournament. But we didn't have enough money to hire a teacher.

And so my pitiful state.

I sighed and looked at the clock on my table. I had to get ready for school now. I got off my bed with a groan and put on my school uniform. I remembered we had a mock test today in science and I groaned again.

Once I was ready, I ran to the subway where I usually caught the train to school after saying goodbye's to mom and dad. The train ride was silent like always and I enjoyed the view I saw everyday on my way to school. After half an hour I arrived at my school and the routine of the day began.

"That's finally done!" I said while wiping the sweat off my brow. I was left with cleaning duty after school today and I was satisfied with the good job I had done.

"Yeah I know! But there's usually only old people who go there to play Go!" I blinked and turned around as I heard some seniors talking. I jogged up to them and stopped them. "Excuse me? Were you talking about a place to play go?" I asked and they smiled at me. I was really glad to be in this school since the upper classmen were always nice to us juniors.

"Yes, it a Go salon. Its on XXX street, just a few blocks from the subway station." Hearing that made a big smile appear on my face. My eyes sparkled and I felt happiness bubble inside me. "Really?! Thank you!" I grinned and ran to put away the cleaning equipment.

If this place was just a few blocks away from the subway, then I would definitely go have a look!

I quickly wrapped up the day's work and dashed out of the school. I made a quick phone call from a public phone to my parents letting them know I would be a little late and I close to ran to the subway. When I reached the subway entrance, I asked a few people for directions and finally found the Go salon. It didn't stand out much and just had a small board indicating that they had a Go salon in the building.

The building looked pretty old and I assumed that it wasn't a great place. I pouted but shrugged. Having a place to play and learn Go was definitely better than not having anything at all. I made my way inside hesitantly and I stopped when I reached the reception table.
