Chapter 6: Those bastards have returned

"I want go outside." I stated while looking at the ceiling.

He laid beside me and answered, " Why? Don't you like it like this?"

"I do, but I miss the outside. I feel like a prisoner in here."

"I miss the outside too..."

"I can't even remember the feeling of the wind brushing against my skin. Making me feel free..."

"So poetic." He chuckled.

"I'm not playing, I want to have that feeling again. I even wonder how great it must feel to fly."

"One day, just you wait." He said going on his side placing his arm over my stomach and burying his face on my side.

I giggled," That tickles, stop breathing."

"I will die, why don't you? Your just wasting oxygen."

"Shut up, you inconsiderate potato."

"What's up with calling me potato?"

"I don't know, potato."

"Anyways—"

Screams came from the hallway.
Kang joon and I  shot up from my bed.
We looked at eachother confused.
"What was that?" I asked.

"I don't know." He said as he stood up from the bed and walked over to my door.

The screams became louder and I could smell smoke.

I stood up and walked towards Kang joon who held a hand up to my face. He placed his ear on the door.
"What are you doing?"

"Shh!"

He turned serious all of a sudden.

A strong stench came in contact with my nose causing me to go back and sit on my bed. It's giving me a headache.
"Kang joon..."

He turned to me and gave me a worried look.
"Oh no."

"What?"
My heart started to race, something was going on and it's not good.
There was a hard knock on the door.

"Y/n!! Y/n!!"

"It's Mina." He said.

Kang joon opened the door and Mina came in.
"Get out now! Go to the basement and enter a portal one of the teachers made."

"Miss, what's going on?" I asked.

"Go now!" She shouted and then she looked at Kang joon," Get her out of here, before its too late."

"What about the others?" I asked.

"Some have already gone through the portal, but don't worry about them. I'll take care of them. Just run now!"

Kang joon grabbed my hand and we ran out of the room. Some of the other people in here were running and crying. Some bodies laid in the hallway.

What in the world happened? All of this was bringing me flashbacks of that night.

I looked back and I saw Mina running while some teachers were dueling with people wearing white robes?!

I stopped in my tracks and I looked at the people who were destroying the place. My fists clenched up and I gritted my teeth.

"Y/n, let's go." Kang joon grabbed my arm pulling me but I shrugged it off not even looking at him.

"They killed my mother."

One of the soldiers made eye contact with me and a smirk appeared on their face.

He notified others around and three of them started walking toward us.
"Y/n, we need to go."

I ignored Kang joon and only focused on the men coming towards me.

I wasn't leaving without a fight. These men killed my mother, they shattered my innocence. They destroyed my life.
