I made sure I had a good grip on my sword as I stared at her blazing eyes.
"I won't go easy on you." She menaced.
"Me neither." I replied trying to sound confident which just made her respond with a smirk.
Our teacher came to the middle raising his hand up.
"Ready?"
"Set, Go!" Our teacher lowered his hand and backed up with the crowd.
Me and Jae-eun moved slowly around the circle keeping our guard up.
She slashed her sword forward and I blocked it.
We went back to prowling slowly in our steps.
Then within one blow she came to me and all that can be heard through the room was the clashing of our swords.
She made a high attack which resulted in me bending backwards to try to dodge it, which went well but we shall see later how my waist handles it.
"You seem to be holding up pretty nicely," she complimented,"I'm impressed."
"The training wasn't for nothing."
Our blades came together once again clashing and forming a 'X', our faces were close to each other. She pushed me back which made me stumble and almost lose my balance completely.
We walked around the circle once more and came back together in the middle. Gritting our teeth and this all turned into a shoving match as we pushed against our swords.
"60 seconds before you tie!" Shouted our teacher from the crowd.
I have to hold on a bit longer.
Jae-eun pushed me causing me to move back and she came at me moving her sword and me blocking her every move. Our swords met one last time and I was just near the boundary line.
She shoved me, causing me to fall. She stretched her arm with her sword holding it to my throat.
I had lost. The two minute match, which felt like an hour duel, had finally ended.
She withdrew her sword and placed it above her shoulder.
"Good game, loser."
Some people never change.
Kang joon came over to me and gave me a hand helping me up.
"Hey, you were great."
"Thanks."
Although, Jae-eun made have beat me in swordsmanship as well as Kang joon. I was beating them in Math class, placing in the top 5 which seemed like a miracle to me because I don't like math and I see it as pointless, but as my teacher said,"The only reason we do this, is to help you learn how to think better."
I've tried helping Kang joon study but he's such a stubborn potato that I won't deal with anymore.
•••
I sighed looking up at the ceiling as I let my self fall on top of my bed. I placed my hands behind my head.
I was with Kang joon in my room and we were having a lazy day today. We didn't feel like doing anything, not even lifting up a finger.
