How To Be 'Emo' Or Scene

*important: thsee are not my pictures. Although I will post some of mine, these pictures are used to help out in how you may want your hair. I will add theit name if I know it and if not please help me on what their name is if you know it c:

Emo hair

I honestly believe emo hair is beautiful and takes much practice. Please don't ever let any one tell you that emo hair is not for anyone. It is for any one who is willing to take time and have patience. In my opinion I think emo hair is choppy razor sharp layers and long bangs teased out. There are many videos on tutorials for the emo and scene hair. Be prepared to have:

*hair spray
*brush (comb, paddle brush, round brush, any will do)
*pins to pin fringe in direction you want
* sissors
*optional to either use a professional hair razor or a shaving razor for the sharp choppy layers
AND LOTS OF PATIENCE

have in mind that teasing hair will probably open slit ends but this will help your hair be 'trained'.

The pictures on top are hairstyles that I personally like. Whether you ant scene or classic emo hair you can add a twist of your like c:

Here are some ways to help achieve emo hair( please note this was how I did it, so based off experience. If you have another completely different way please tell me c:)

*wash hair then blow dry or simply let it dry
*straighten your if it is wavey or curly
Emo or scene hair is full and teased out on top and thinner on bottom so may want to use that razor and make a top layer. You can grab some hair that starts on your top section from the back of your crown and measure to where your eyebrows. You can start from there or a little lower and using razor you can shave down wards. This will create a razor sharp layer. After do it to all of your top hair. Once you finish you will have a top layer shorter then your lower hair. I have one layer, but you can give your self much more if youre a professional unlike me cx. You can also pay at a salon and ask for short layers in the back and longer layers in front. Also ask to thin out your bottom hair, which will make you have volume on top and thin on bottom.

*make your fringe:
There are two ways to do this. See which one is best for you c:

*you can ether part your hair from the end of one eyebrow and brush hair to other side then cut choppy and create your fringe.

*or you can bring your hair all to your face and section starting from middle of top head and brush it down. Withe sissors cut like a little 'curtain' and form a fringe that cover an eyebrow or a little bit above one. Maybe even covering an eye or two cx

*once hair is cut to your like, you can add more razor sharp layers to opposite side of fringe or do it where parted hair is.

*now all you have to do is straighten out that part of the razor sharp layer out to your face but careful to not burn your cheek >.<

*starting from crown of head pull a section up and add a spritz of hair spray. With a comb or perferably a ratail comb brush hair torwards scalp. Do it to all of your hair in small hair sections.

*you will end up with crazy puffy hair, so take a brush and softly brush hair down in the direction you like. Remember to bring a big amount of hair along with fringe and brush to side.

*spray a little more to smooth out top of your hair.

Emo male hair, Iso pretty much parting your hair from the crown and brushing to to your face and then to a side you want. You can also get razor sharp layers to make the look complete.

If you do not prefer a fringe then you can have the normal choppy bangs or even, not have to cut your hair. There are tricks to have emo hair without cutting, yet they do use method of teasing.

Also, you don't need a fringe to become emo, you can have so many razor layers which can find in Google or tutorial videos. And having so many layers is easier to mantain then fringe.

hair extensions are a choice of your own really. I usually wear them considering my hair is an inch or two above my collarbone. Adding extensions gives your style more volume and makes it more classy if your hair is short or medium short.

You can add any hair accessories such as a bow, hair band, cat ears, beanie, bandana, anything c: !!!

Coloring hair is also very emo. Whether you want blue, green or mixture of colors then go for it!  Or adding colored high lights or patches. If you aren't allowed to color your hair then black hair is always classy and beautiful too! Or even normal brown hair really adds more detail I think!

Please have in mind that it may not come out as you want at first, but this will train your hair and in small time your hair will be emomazing cx ❤

Also please know that if you are male but are not allowed to have long hair then it ok! Just like some emo females, some don't have emo or scene hair, but they focus on makeup, and wardrobe. :3
