CHAPTER 15
"WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO WEAR?"

*SYLVIA*

What to wear? What am supposed to wear? I pull my hair in frustration. I search through my closet again pulling a verity of different clothing all over my bedroom floor. I search around my floor and bed pulling various tops up to me on my mirror and shaking my head no. What would I wear? I never been on a lunch date before so..... Oooooh when did I buy those? I look at the baby blue jeans and I smile. I found pants! Now all I need is a shirt. Glance around my floor and see a black tank and a denim jacket. I know what I'm wearing.

I finally walk out my room in my jeans and jacket, my side bag, my hair curled, and my makeup done. I walk down the stairs and slip into my garden shoes. My garden shoes were acutely a pair of old black converse with mud stains on the side. I couldn't really find the right pair of shoes to go with this outfit and I had no idea how long I would be walking. I walk into the living room and Dylan jeeps his head to me. He's now in new clothes. He coughs awkwardly and says, "You look.. nice." He compiments me. I smile and I tell him he also looks nice. He walks to the front door and motions his hand to come with him. Okay.....

We arrived at a small little Caffè around fifteen@mention a user minutes later. He opened his door and then ran around to my side. I smiled. I hopped out of his truck having having a bit of trouble. We walked in as he held the door open for me. Looking around the old Caffè I gasped and halted my steps.

*Flashback 13 years ago*

"Mommy, can I get a donut?", I glanced up at mommy and see her smiling back at me. "Sure cupcake." She turned to the counter and asked the kind lady up front for my donut and a coffee for her I'm assuming. She got my strawberry sprinkled donut and her drink and walked out of the small shop. "Mommy why are we not staying there?", I looked up at her curious why we were not eating at the shop today. "Hon, daddy wants to see you he has the afternoon off just for you." She tapped my nose and continued to walk towards our car as I giggled. I couldn't wait to see daddy he said when he got the next day off we will go to the zoo! We got to the car and then the lady from the shop ran out the a shop holding my bright blue bouncy ball that I lost a week ago. "My ball!" A big smile brought to my face. I bounced it up and down as mommy thanked the lady. After she was done the lady made her way back into the small shop as mom brought me up to my car seat. As she lifted me up I dropped by ball and it rolled right away from me. "Mommy!" I shreaked as it rolled into the street. I pointed at it as mommy slowly dropped me back on the gravel. "Mommy is just going to go get it. I'll be real quick. Hold onto the car handel ok hun." I nodded as she waked towards the street and looked both ways. As she did I did to and saw no cars. I started to get finicky as she bent down to get my ball. Right when she leaned over and grabbed it I saw a red rusted car come from the side. It kept going off the rode and when mommy stood up she turned around as saw the car she dropped my ball and a gasp came out of her mouth as she stood there. And as the car came in contact with her she looked at me and mouthed 'I love you' and I screamed as my bright blue bouncy ball rolled towards me. the guy that was in tge car ran out and looked over at me and I gasped as I looked at his red eyes. "I'm so sorry!" He yelled as he hopped back in his car and drove away. The lady that gave me my ball earlier and ran out and gripped me tightly and brought me over to her car as she called someone. Tears came down my cheeks as I held my ball against my heart as I heard sirens blaring. The lady put into her car and strapped me tightly. She sat in the front seat and turned around and whispered, "it's going to be okay." I couldn't hear her though. All I heard was the the sirens. She drove after the ambulance and I turned and looked out the window reading the sign above. I read out the letters, 'T-r-a-c-i-e-s -C-a-f-f-è'. As we drove away from the cafy I mouthed, "I love you mommy"

*End of flashback*

My mind stopped as I read the sign above the cash register 'Tracie's Caffè'. As I looked down at the person behind the register I saw Tracie herself. I walked towards her leaving Dylan behind. "Tracie?" I glanced up at her. "Cupcake!" She said excited as she came to the front of the counter. I hugged her as she swayed back and forth. Tracie was the mother figure to me as my mom was in a coma for about six months. Until my dad decide to not let another motherly figure into my life after mom died. I haven't seen her since. "Oh goodness! I missed you so much!" I smiled at her loving smile. "Same! Can I get my usual?" She nodded and I turned towards Dyan and saw him awkwardly standing by the door. Tracie saw this and asked what he'd like. "I'll have a small black coffee and a bagel." He told her and came and stood next to me.

Tracie ushered us towards a booth and we sat down. Tracie came back moments later with our order and told us it's on the house. We ate in silence as I bit into my strawberry sprinkled donut. Dylan started to say something but got interrupted by loud heels and a squeaky voice.

"Hey, Dylan"
