Lindsey continued to dial and hang up the phone for the next few days, he really wanted to speak to Stevie to say thank you, but he just couldn't find the words to say, he was still mad and it was blocking his senses

Stevie waited days for a phone call, but it never came, the phone rang once and she thought it might have been Lindsey but there was no one on the other end, placing the phone down disappointed she tried to carry on with the shows

Stevie was on a weeks break before the next leg of her tour started, she decided she was going to pluck up the courage and go to Lindsey herself, it had been a few weeks since she had been to see Flower, she booked the tickets to London and then arranged for a private car to drive her from Heathrow to Kent

The entire flight was spent wringing her hands, what if she wasn't allowed near her daughters? Karen had already said that Lindsey had spoken much the same words the last time they spoke, she still didn't know how her daughter was, every time she asked Karen she would get the cold shoulder, looking out the window of the plane, Stevie felt her eyes glaze over, soon feeling damp on her cheeks as she shed a couple of tears, she had completely ruined the life she had worked so hard to grasp

Touching down at Heathrow Stevie collected her baggage and was met by her driver, getting in the car they pulled away on their short journey to Kent

"I trust you had a comfortable flight Mrs Buckingham?" The driver asked

"Yes I did thank you! Glad to be off the plane though, its a long flight from the US"

"I imagine so, so is this your home or is it a visit?"

"My husband lives here"

"Very good, Kent is a nice place" The driver sensed Stevie didn't want to talk about her family life anymore so he turned the radio on and they sat in comfortable silence for the rest of the journey

Sitting in his kitchen Lindsey was heating up Robins porridge on the hob, making sure it was cool enough for her to eat he placed it in her winnie the pooh bowl

"Here's your oatmeal baby"

"Daddy it's called porridge!" She said sounding very British, been as he was the only adult around her that was American, and all her friends were from England, she had picked up the British accent very fast and it had pretty much taken over the American one she had

"Okay sorry missy moo!"

"Its fine daddy" She giggled kicking her legs in her high chair

He kept her quiet, Flower had only been home for two days, she had finally become strong enough to breath on her own, but she still had a very bad cough that the doctors wanted to keep an eye on, he had to give her liquid medicine every four hours to make sure her health continued to strengthen, she was home but she wasn't one hundred percent out of the clear just yet

Lindsey was eating his toast when he heard the door bell chime, kissing Robin on the head and going to the door, answering it and staring in shock at the person on the other side

"Hi Lindsey"

"Stevie...what are you doing here?" He noticed her bags

"I...I'm on break for a week and I wanted to...visit" Staring past him for a minuet he finally snapped out of the trance he was in

"Come in" he didn't help with her bags so she picked them up herself and placed them in the hall

"It's good to see you..." Stevie said, stepping forward to maybe give Lindsey a hug and watched as he took a step backwards

"Yeah...it's been a while" He said scratching his head

"How is Flower? I came to see her a few weeks back..."

"I know, thank you for the elephant...She's home now, still not out of the woods completely but she is definitely getting there"

"Could I...can I see her?" Lindsey stayed silent for a minuet before nodding, telling Stevie he would be a second, he went into the kitchen and placed Robin in the family room, telling her to be a good girl for a minuet and watch a film, she told him okay and was soon glued to the movie

"Follow me" Lindsey said coming back out to Stevie, she hated how formal this all was

Walking into the nursery, Lindsey found Flower awake playing with her crib mobile, kicking it with her little feet, walking over her picked her up and walked to Stevie

"Hello Flower" Stevie said rubbing the baby's back

"Would I be able to hold her?"

"She's still your daughter" Lindsey said handing her over, Stevie taking her and holding her close

Within seconds Flower was crying, screaming and trying to wiggle out of Stevie's grasp, turning her daughter around to face her, she tried to calm her down by bouncing her a little

"Flower, don't cry, it's mommy" Stevie's heart broke as she realised she was unable to calm her daughter, trying a little longer before she looked at Lindsey and he came to take her

"No Linds...it's fine, she will settle in a minuet" Flower continued screaming

"Stevie she isn't going to settle" He tried to take her but Stevie tried to move away, him finally taking the child, who straight away stopped crying, down to just a whimper here and then

"She doesn't like being held by people she doesn't know" Lindsey said, watching his wife's heart break through her eye's and face

"I'm her mother though..."

"Stevie, you've been gone for most of the time she's been alive...I'm sorry" He genuinely was, he couldn't imagine what she was feeling right now

Flower had fallen asleep in Lindsey's arms, he placed her back in the crib and ushered Stevie from the room and back downstairs, he took her into the family room and Robin looked up, Stevie smiling, Robin looked away again and back to the TV

"Hi baby..."

"Robin?" She tried again but still go nothing, so she walked over and crouched down in front of the young girl

"Can mommy have cuddles?" Robin looked at her

"Your not my mommy! Your just...just Stevie!" Stevie stood back up covering her mouth, walking out of the room quickly

"Stevie..." She heard from behind her

"I shouldn't have come here Lindsey, I'm sorry, neither of the girls obviously need me"

"Can you blame them?" he said without thinking

"You know what? No I can't! I wouldn't talk to me either, but I came to make it better..."

"I shouldn't have said that, I apologize, you can stay, I won't stop you seeing them, but I think it would be better if you stayed with Christine, for the kids sake and yours" Stevie nodded her head, picking her purse up and placing it on her shoulder

"Stevie..." She turned around and saw Lindsey approach her with an envelope, placing it in her hand and stroking her cheek

"I was so prepared to make us work" He said, a tear falling "I was going to post this but your here now, this is probably easier anyway"

Stevie slowly looked down at the envelope, she closed her eyes, already guessing what he had just handed her, opening the seal and pulling out the paper, the bold words at the top broke the barrier of tears that were just waiting to fall;
