Is She Okay?

"One-Two-Three-clear!" Stevie and Lindsey watched as the Dr's fought to resuscitate Robin

"One-Two-Three-clear!" Once again they shocked the girl, trying to get her heart going again

"Once more and I'm calling it" the Dr said to one of the nurses, Stevie turned into Lindsey's chest and sobbed, Lindsey holding onto her for dear life

"One-Two-Three-clear!" The continuous beeping stopped and was replaced by a steady heartbeat, Lindsey was thankful he was holding Stevie as she passed out in his arms

"Baby..." he went to the floor with her, lightly tapping her face and rubbing her cheek

"Come on Steph, she's fine, come round, open your eyes baby" Stevie gradually opened them and found calmness in the blue orbs that looked into her chocolate ones

"Is she really okay?" she said weakly, pushing off the nurses that tried to help her up into a chair

"No, I'm fine!" Stevie got up quickly but stumbled, Lindsey guiding her to the bed, she sat on the edge and brushed the hair once more from Robin's face, kissing her forehead and pulling back, looking at her girl a little bit longer, gasping when Robins eye slowly started to open, the one being to swollen to

"Lindsey, baby!" Stevie moved out of the way for Lindsey to sit down in her space

"Da...daddy?" Lindsey let out a sob

"Yes baby, it's daddy!"

"Cudd...cuddle...daddy!" Lindsey looked at the nurse

"If your careful it should be okay!" The nurse took out the drip and cables so nothing would be in the way, Robin was now as stable as she would be, she was going to be okay! Lindsey scooped Robin up in his arms and sat her across his lap, his heart swelled when she put her arms around him

"Stay with you and mommy" Lindsey kissed her head

"Yes my sweet girl" He told her, she started crying

"What's the matter sweetheart?" she reached out for Stevie and held onto her finger, bringing it to her face and nuzzling it

"The man...he hurt me mommy...I called but you and daddy didn't come" Stevie couldn't stand it any longer, she took Robin from Lindsey and picked her up, holding her against her front, the little girl wrapping her legs around Stevie's waist and her arms around her neck

"We're here now baby, and we aren't going anywhere! I promise!" Stevie said, Lindsey looking funny at her

"What's the matter Linds?"

"Robin?" he asked and Robin turned her head to look at him, sucking her thumb and resting her head on Stevie's shoulder

"The man, that hurt you, he didn't...he didn't...touch you anywhere he shouldn't...or make you do anything?" He felt like he was going to throw up, Stevie had been wondering the same thing

"No, he just hit me...really hard daddy" Both parents sighed relief, Lindsey wouldn't have been able to control himself if that monster would have touched his baby inappropriately

Stevie stood there and rocked Robin to sleep in her arms, the Dr coming in to check on her

"When can we take her home" Lindsey whispered

"We want to keep her under surveillance for a couple of hours, but she should be able to go home with you tonight"

For the few hours that she was being kept an eye on for Robin was not put down for a second, Stevie and Lindsey taking it in turns to hold her, they both vowed that they would never let another living soul ever hurt their daughter again

They arrived back home in the early hours of the morning, Robin hadn't woken up even for a second, she was spark out, Lindsey carried her upstairs, they were just about to turn the light on when she woke up with a start

"DADDDDDDY!" She screamed in panic, wriggling in Lindsey's arms until she realised it was him that was holding her

"Baby, it's me, it's daddy, I'm here! Look mommy is here too!" Stevie came round and rubbed Robins cheek

"Your safe sweetie!" Robin calmed down and Stevie took her

"How about we run you a bath missy, and then you can get into some nice clean fluffy pajamas and have sweet dreams?"

"Okay mommy" 

Stevie handed Robin back and went to run the bath, putting in lots of bubble bath, picking up the rubber ducks from the cupboard she placed them in the water, making sure it wasn't too hot she picked a fluffy towel out and laid it across the heated towel rail

"Baby...can you bring Robin in? the baths ready" Lindsey came in a second later with Robin on his hip, they both took off her bandages, and carefully placed her in the bath, making sure not to knock her head, or her ribs

"Hows that sweetheart?"

"Cosy mommy" Stevie poured little handfuls of water over Robin, cringing when she flinched because it burned over her cuts

"I'm sorry baby" Stevie distracted her by pushing the ducks over to her, picking one up and quacking it at her, causing Robin to giggle

Lindsey watched from the doorway, wondering in the fact that his girlfriend made an amazing mother to Robin, he was going to propose to her soon, he wanted them to be a little family of three, an official one, he was going to talk to Eva about adopting Robin now that she had no biological mother

"Robin, would you like some warm milk before bed?"

"Yes please daddy" she turned her attention back to her mother and the rubber ducks, Lindsey smiling as he could hear the giggles as he walked away and down the stairs

Reaching for a saucepan and the milk from the fridge her poured some in and placed it on the stove, waiting for it to heat up, he picked up Robins sippy cup from the side and took the lid off ready to pour the milk in but he accidentally knocked Stevie's bag off the side, spilling it's contents on the floor

"Shit!" he bend down and picked up the things until he found an envelope on the floor that had fallen out, he saw it had Stevie's name on and the hospital stamp in the corner, he knew he shouldn't look and Stevie would be mad but he had to know what was wrong with her, he was worried she was ill or something, turning it over he pulled out the contents which was a letter, opening it he gasped, and tears stung his eyes, Stevie was pregnant...and the letter was confirming her termination tomorrow afternoon...
