Stevie woke up after the best nights sleep she'd had in a while and noticed she had managed to scoot till her front was pushed against lindseys side, she also noticed how the little girl that was between them was now laying still fast asleep on Lindsey's chest, little snores coming from her, she realised at that moment in time just how much she had missed with Lindsey, all down to their own stupidity

"Morning" Lindsey had woken up, aware of the stare

"Morning" Stevie whispered

"I woke up in the night and she was just here" he gestured to the small child on his middle

"She loves you that's why" Lindsey looked at Stevie and frowned, bringing his hand up to her cheek and stroking

"Why are you crying baby?" Stevie couldn't speak, simply shrugging at him as more tears fell

"Shhh come here..." she shuffled as close as she could get, dropping her leg over his middle and wrapping her arm around Robins back, alerting the child who popped her head up and looked at Stevie rubbing her eyes, she shuffled over on Lindsey's chest and nuzzled into the gap under Stevie's chin, falling back asleep very soon afterwards

"We need to go shop for her today" Stevie spoke trying not to wake the sleeping toddler

"We can go as soon as we're all up and dressed"

"First things first we need a buggy, her legs are tiny" Stevie rubbed Robins legs lovingly

"Sure but let's just have an hours more sleep okay baby"

"I'm so happy you said that" They both laughed and drifted once more into a peaceful sleep

They made it to the stores a few hours later, they went straight to the store they brought the car seat from and went in search of a buggy, Stevie had Robin on her hip whilst they walked around, Lindsey pointing out different kinds of buggies, they both liked a deep purple colour one they saw, it had padding on the inside and also a little removable tray that would sit in front of Robin so she could place bits she was nibbling on on there

"Do you like this one sweet girl?" Stevie placed Robin in the buggy and watched as a smile came to the girls face

"I think she loves it mama" Lindsey said in her ear, wrapping an arm around her shoulder

"Then that is the one she shall have!"

They brought the item, whilst Robin was still in it as she had fallen asleep very fast, Lindsey pushed her round the store whilst they picked up bits and pieces that she would need, moving over to the clothes section and watching as Stevie gushed over the items

"Lindsey look at this little dress!" She held up a gold dress with a white bodice, the gold was all glittery and it came with a pair of glittery gold shoes, both tiny as well

"Put it in the cart Steph" he mock rolled his eyes and she excitedly placed it in

"I feel that was successful" Stevie said once they left the store

"Well we just brought her three hundred dollars worth of clothes so I think so!"

"Never to much for our girl!" Stevie placed as still sleeping Robin in her car seat and placed the bags in the trunk as Lindsey tried to fold the pushchair, failing miserably as he trapped his finger making it bleed

"Shit!"

"What baby?" Stevie asked worried

"I just trapped my finger" he held it up and she saw a tiny bit of blood, she's not sure what made her do it but she looked him straight in the eye and took his finger in her hand, bringing it up to her lips and placing it in her mouth, she heard him grown as she gentle sucked on it, she removed it from her mouth and walked to the passenger side, climbing in without a word, leaving a shocked Lindsey to finish packing the stuff

Robin woke up on the way home with a scream, making Stevie and Lindsey jump, luckily they were almost home, so pulling up Lindsey jumped out and took his crying girl into his arms

"Shhh baby, did you have a bad dream?" Robin didn't say anything, she just cried more, Lindsey bounced her on his hip until she stopped a little

"Robin want to go to mommy for a second?" Stevie was shocked he referred to her as that, being honest so was he, it just slipped out, Robin nodded and stretched her arms out, cuddling up to Stevie and playing with her necklace, she was no longer crying, just snuffling

Lindsey unloaded the trunk and carried the bags inside, Stevie sitting on the sofa with Robin still rocking her, she had stopped crying now, playing with Stevie's finger idly

"Is she okay?"

"Yeah she's alright, I think whatever woke her up scared her"

"You okay with her whilst I put her cot bed up?"

"Of course" She snuggled Robin closer to herself and kissed her head

A time later Lindsey came down, finally having put the cot together

"You took your time" Stevie joked

"You don't understand how tricky that was! It wasn't that tricky when I did it for our..." Lindsey realised and stopped speaking

"Times have changed since then love" Stevie laughed but he could see the pain in her eyes

"Let's go get her ready for bed" Lindsey said, Stevie getting up careful and walking the stairs, they walked into what was now Robins room and together they carefully got her into her unicorn pyjamas they brought earlier, Lindsey placed her into the cot and they both kissed her goodnight, walking back down stairs and snuggling down to watch a movie

Lindsey woke up a few hours later and saw that the film had finished, they had slept through most of it, having a child was tiring! He gently nudged Stevie to wake her

"Baby, we fell asleep, I think we should go to bed" Stevie mumbled in reply and got up slowly, Lindsey turning the TV off as they walked to the bedroom, Stevie stopping before they got to the door

"Let's check on our little one" They walked to Robins door and opened it, seeing the room lit up from the night light, they both woke up fully when they realised that Robins cot was empty...
