Lindsey decided he needed to go and pay a visit to Eva, since the letter he received yesterday he couldn't stop thinking about it, walking into the kitchen he kissed his wife and then his daughter, turning to Stevie he spoke to her

"Baby, I need to go out in a few, I've got something I need to sort out"

"Okay, what is it?"

"Its a surprise" he kissed her on the nose

"Oooo I love surprises!" Lindsey giggled at her and then gave her another lingering kiss, bidding farewell to the pair he got his coat and shoes on and went on his way

Arriving at Eva's house he knew it was her day off from the foster home, knocking on the door he waited until she answered before pushing his way in, standing in her living room and watching as she came in and walked over to him

"I see you got my letter..." she smirked

"You are one sick bitch!"

"You didn't seem to think that when we were fucking the other night"

"WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH YOU? ARE YOU CRAZY?"

"Did you come here to go again?"

"WE DIDN'T GO THE FIRST TIME!" He yelled, then spoke quieter the next time

"I don't know who you thought you were having sex with Eva but it for sure as hell wasn't me!"

"I know that, and you know that, but your little wife doesn't does she?" Lindsey stood there gobsmacked

"Why would you come up with that lie? She's pregnant for goodness sake!"

"Ooooh is she? I never knew that!"

"Well you do now!"

"It's just another thing for me to make sure you don't get"

"NO! You leave my wife and our baby alone! We can't lose her Eva, we lost a child before and it almost killed us" Lindsey cried

"Aww boohoo!"

"I'll take this to the police!"

"Do it then, you won't get anywhere"

"Eva please I'm begging you! Why won't you let us keep Robin? Don't you want to see her go to a good home?"

"No she doesn't deserve it!"

"Why? What has she ever done to you!"

"SHE'S MY NIECE!" Lindsey stood not believe what he just heard

"She's what?"

"She's my niece! and that little brat ruined my sisters life!"

"She's a child how could she do that?"

"Because my sister couldn't afford her, if she didn't come along then her mother wouldn't of had to turn to drugs and she wouldn't be dead now!" Eva spat

"It was your sisters choice to have her Eva! It's not Robins fault!"

"I don't care! She doesn't deserve any love, she deserves to spend the rest of her life alone"

"You are so bitter!" Eva just laughed

"I'll tell you what, since you didn't like my first choice, I'll give you another..."

"Which is?"

"You can have one child but not two"

"What are you saying?"

"I'm saying Lindsey dear, that you can either have Robin or the one inside your wife, you can't have both"

"You can't make me chose that!"

"Yes I can, and I am"

Lindsey had cried the entire way home, sitting on his drive for a few minuets to compose himself he walked into the house, stopping when he noticed his suitcase at the bottom of the stairs

"Steph?" he called out

"Your stuff is packed, your ready to go straight away"  Stevie said coming out of the living room

"What...why?"

"I found the letter Lindsey! I know you lied to me! How could you?"

"No, Steph please let me explain!"

"You did that before and then lied straight to my face!"

"No, no I didn't, please let me explain!"

"Just go!" Lindsey thought fast

"Then Robin comes too! I was the one who wanted her in the first place"

"You can't do that!"

"Then let me explain!" he begged

"Fine, but make it quick"

"I received the letter yesterday and went to confront Eva today, I've just come back from there, she wanted you to find the letter Steph, I told her I didn't sleep with her and she said me and her knew that but you didn't, I promise you I did not cheat on you!" Stevie softened a little and Lindsey carried on

"I asked her why, it turns out shes Robins aunt, Robins mother was her sister and she blames Robin for her death, thinking if she hadn't had her then she wouldn't of had to turn to drugs for the money, she want's Robin to live a life alone" Both people were crying now

"Please tell me you believe me..." he waited holding his breath until Stevie came running to his arms

"I do, I'm sorry!" she cried into his neck and he breathed relief

"Stevie, sit down, there is something else" he took her to the sofa they had in the entry way and sat her down, making sure they were looking at each other

"She said going to the police wouldn't help, I did some research and her father is the police chief"

"It's useless then to go to them..." Stevie spoke and Lindsey nodded

"That's not all, I let slip that you were pregnant"

"Yeah and?"

"She gave me...or rather us a choice" Stevie didn't like the sound of that

"Okay?"

"She said we can have one of our babies, not both...its either this one" he rubbed her belly "Or Robin, she won't let us keep both, if we chose her then we lose Robin, if we chose Robin, she will make sure we lose the one inside you" They both knew after what she had already done Eva was very capable of following through with her threats. Stevie couldn't hold back the sobs, Robin had become as much her baby as the one she was carrying

"What are we going to do?"

"I don't know, even with the court it's still that choice Stevie..."

They both sat in silence crying, neither wanting to say the words that they knew would have to come, Robin was their daughter in their hearts but they couldn't lose another child that they had created

After a short while they were interrupted by the little girl they had come to love so much in a short time, she shuffled over to them and placed her little hands on top of each of there's

"It's okay mommy and daddy, I'll go..."

"What?"

"I was listening, it's okay, I know I could never replace my little sister"

"Oh Robin baby" Stevie lifted her up

"Thank you for loving me when no once else would...but it's my time to go now, tell the lady your choice, daddy?"

Lindsey took her and cuddled her close

"Yes baby?"

"Tell her about me okay? Tell her I loved her too!" She was referring to the baby, Robin cried along with her parents, Lindsey couldn't believe for a small child how intelligent she actually was, because of her mother, she'd had to grow up way faster than other children her age, they sat there all wondering why it had to be them
