It wasn't very hard to fall in love with Dan Howell. Since the very first day Phil met him, a list had been compiling in his head, growing ever so slowly as he fell in love with Dan more and more. Phil loved so many things about Dan, from his toes to the very hairs on his head, but not just anything could make it. It had to be capital-I Important. Currently, there were 14 things on the list.

14 Reasons To Love Dan Howell (and counting):

1) His lies. Right, how could this be number one on the list? Well, that was simple. Dan was a horrible liar, that was for sure, and he was adorable whenever he did it. Whether it was a simple, "No, I didn't leave the milk out on the counter!" or a "N-no I didn't masturbate when you told me not to", he was adorable. His ears turned bright red, and his eyes shifted to the floor. He couldn't seem to lie without standing on the tips of his toes.

2) His hands. They were the perfect size, and always warm but never sweaty. They were constantly tapping, which was cute and endearing, if sometimes a bit annoying. They were also incredibly skilled at making Phil moan, easily finding and touching the parts of him that were the most sensitive.

3) When he's mad. Most would probably think it odd that Dan's anger could make it onto the list on why to love him, and especially at number three on said list, but he couldn't help it. Dan was just so cute when he was mad. His hands (which Phil loved) went flying about, swinging through the air. His face scrunched up, sometimes turning red. It was always hard to win fights against someone who looked so adorable when they fought.

4) His moans. This one was simple. Phil was convinced that he could orgasm from the noise Dan made alone, if given enough time. And it wasn't just his moans that Phil loved, it was the groans, the gasps, the hitches in his breaths. It was every noise of pleasure he made and more.

5) When he brushes his teeth. No, not just because of the good hygiene, though that was definitely a good thing. Phil just liked it when their elbows banged together as they brushed their teeth at the same time. They were constantly wearing matching bruises on their elbows, and sure they could just stand on opposite sides of the sink, so Dan was on the left and Phil on the right, but Phil knew Dan loved it too.

6) His hair. Phil loved every aspect of his hair. He'd loved it when it was long, and he could run his fingers through the locks. He loved it when it was short, the bristles on the back of his head tickling the palm of his hand. He loved it when it was curly and straight and wet and dry. He loved it especially when Dan was fixing it, shaking his head to the side and puffing it up with his hands.

7) His 'just waking up' persona. Dan always woke up with a groan on his lips. A nice way to greet the day, Phil supposed. Dan's voice was always groggy and scratchy and he never seemed to be able to comprehend just what was going on. Phil hoped that they never awoke to a fire, as it'd take at least ten minutes to even get his boyfriend out of the bed, much less explain to him why he had to get out of the bed.

8) His cooking. It was in no way extraordinary, but Phil always loved it. He loved the way Dan hummed as he made food, how he bumped their hips together when Phil was in the kitchen to help. He loved the way Dan made messes and complained while he cleaned them up, smiling all the same.

9) His cuddles. Dan was a cuddler, that was for sure. He was constantly touching Phil, whether it was linking their arms together or wrapping their legs around each other or simply leaning against the other. If they were both in the room, Dan wanted to be touching, and Phil loved that.

10) His clumsiness. Phil was clumsy too, of course, but he just loved it that Dan was clumsy. He loved seeing the younger boy trip up the stairs (when he didn't get injured in the process) or knock over a box of cereal. He always got a little bit flustered when his clumsiness got the best of him.

11) His body. It was great no matter what, whether it was dressed in designer clothes, three day old pajamas, or nothing at all, Dan's body was perfect. And Phil loved it.

12) His kinks. Whenever Dan brought up a kink, it was with his face beet red and his hands twisting furiously in front of him. His most recent kink was praise (which Phil couldn't help but love a little bit).

13) His thoughtfulness. Despite how good Dan looked, it was his mind that Phil had fallen in love with first. His thoughts were so creative and expressive, and he always knew the right gift to buy and the right decision to make. He was extremely level headed, even when he was in the middle of an existential crisis or having sex or when he was drunk, even.

14) His "I hate you"s. He said it a lot, almost as often as Phil said he loved him. He couldn't help but love the way Dan said it, the way he rose to the tips of his toes, the way his ears grew red and his eyes shifted to the floor. Every single time Dan told him he hated him, Phil fell in love with him a little bit more.

In conclusion, it was simply impossible to not love Dan Howell.
