"Ne! Ne! 'Sumi! Didja' hear?"

The silver haired girl glances over at her twin, slightly annoyed. Her emerald orbs flickered elsewhere, concentrating at the front of the classroom. She replies in her mild tone, cocking her head one side, before eyeing her brother again,

"...What?"

"We're being put into our own teams today!"

"...I've already known. The teacher announced it yesterday."

"Darn, 'Sumi! Why do you always have to have an attitude like that?!"

Masumi rolled her eyes at her brother's comment.

She was prepared today.

Today was the day in which the new genins were assigned to their very own teams. A jounin would be in charge of three genin and they were to carry out small missions and assignments, together.

Masumi rested her cheek against her hand and gazed out of the window of the classroom. Who would be in her squad? Who was going to be her jounin leader? More importantly, was she going to become a full-fledged shinobi with the team she was assigned to?

There were so many questions, yet there were very few answers.

One by one, jounins of all sorts had sauntered into the room to take in the genins that they were assigned. Masumi watched, impatient as ever.

A woman clad in the usual jounin uniform steps into the room. Her brown orbs scanned the room and she moves to take hold of a list that was located in her pocket.

"...Uh... Hatake Masumi, Ichijo Nozaki, and Uchiha Hidē?" The woman raises a brow at the names before glancing up at the remaining students in the class.

"That's my name! Now ladies, if you'll excuse me~" The flirtatious Uchiha steps up from his seat. The group of girls that had been speaking to the boy swooned and cooed over him.

"Ah... that Masumi!"

"She doesn't know how lucky she is to have both cute guys on her team!"

"I would kill to switch places with her!"

Masumi had forgotten how annoying her female classmates could be. She was sincerely happy that she was never to see them again.

Nozaki approaches the front, first. With a cool demeanor and attractive appearance, Nozaki was an excellent target for the girls to stare at.

Hidē waves and offers hand kisses towards the girls of the class before emerging at the front next to Nozaki.

'Out of all people in this class, I'm stuck with two pretty boys who probably know nothing about ninjutsu.' Masumi sighs in irritation as she approaches her new sensei.

"Ah... it's you three. Alright. Follow me." The woman smiles and gestures for the three teens to follow her out of the classroom.

Masumi glances back to see her brother give her a 'thumbs up' for good luck. She rolled her eyes and sauntered out.

"...Your name is Masumi, right?" The boy called Hidē, suddenly spoke. Annoyed, the girl glances up with an irritated expression before nodding.

"I heard your brother is Kahiko, right? The goody-goody," Hidē snickers before shaking his head," The good-looking goody-goody-"

"If you're just going to speak about him that way, I would shut my mouth if I were you," Masumi shoots a vicious glare, "You're on my last nerve, asshole."

Hidē looked baffled. The girl surely didn't seem like someone that would aggressively speak to him like that. She was pretty but she had such an aggressive and curt tongue. Most girls would have already fallen for his charms, been swooning but not her.

This... this girl...

She was different. She was strange. Unlike the other girls that Hidē spoke to, Masumi never spoke a word to anyone unless she was directly spoken to. In the last several years in school he realized she was the only girl who never approached him, who never talked to him. Brought him a bento, or offered him a drink in attempts to win his affections.

Masumi Hatake.

She was his new interest. And he wasn't going to give up on her so easily.

Heyo!

It's been a while but it took us some time to map out the plot of the second book and decide how we were going to format everything, where we were going to start and such. We of course are still trying to figure out the small details here and there. We want to enter the wattys2017 which is why we pushed the story to be published earlier than we were ideally ready and y'all are going to get a spam of a few chapters which we are desperately working night and day for ;~; Don't worry though, we are still bringing forth our best work! Well I guess it's better for you all, get a barrage of chapters which you've been waiting several months for XD Don't worry I'm completely stressing bruh out and annoying her to stop procrastinating as much, we actually live in different countries so as I would love to go and sit in her living room and force her to write I'm stuck constantly spamming her through the internet (LOL sorry bruh)

A little blurb about this novel though, the first focused mostly on Akemi and Kakashi whereas this will focus more on their children, and their development. Personally I love our little twins, and I hope you all will too! There was a bit of a time skip between this novel and the last, maybe we'll make a Shorts story with small cute little fluffy home stories to compensate? Gomen gomen, no promises.
