Sunday 10.26 A.M.

Last day of vacation. I have to go back to school tomorrow... I really don't want to! One day left. I know exactly what to do with it! I'm going to the mall one more time. I take my stuff and walk out the door.

'Going out again?', I hear Mason ask.

I turn around.

'I'm going to the mall. Alone. At 10 A.M. I don't think you can call that 'going out'.'

'Yeah sure.. The mall', Mason says sarcastically.

'I AM! If you don't believe me, why don't you come with me?'

'Okay, I will!'

'Fine.'

'Fine.'

'Good.'

'Good.'

'Let's go.'

'Okay.'

'Fine.'

'Fine.'

'Okay.'

'Okay.'

We arrive at the mall and I head straight to the pet store. I've been doing that every day for the past week. I've spend an entire week at that store, finishing my day off with a drawing on the bridge. When I enter, I look around a bit. I don't want the girl to think I'm just there for her. I don't want her to think I'm a freak. I walk towards the corner where I first talked to her. I stand in front of the ara's cage and stare at it. Mason stands next to me.

'So this is what you do all day? Stare at a bird?'

I don't know what to say. It's true. I just stand here all day, hoping that I'll see the magical girl again. Wishing that she'll talk to me again.

'You want a drink? I'm gonna go to the coffee bar around the corner', I ask Mason.

'No, I'm good.'

'Okay, I'll be right back.'

I nervously walk out the store, into the coffee bar. I order a frappuccino with strawberries and cream again. Still my favorite. I take my drink and sit down for a bit. Do I like this girl? Do I want Mason to know? Am I a lesbian? Am I bisexual? Do I tell Michael? Do I tell anyone?
Thoughts are spinning through my head.

'Hey, you're the girl who likes the ara. Right?'

I wake up from my thoughts and look at who's in front of me. Big blue eyes, a beautiful blonde braid, long black lashes. It's her.

'Y-yeah', I stutter.

'I'm Elizabeth, but you can call me Ellie', she says and she reaches out her hand. I shake it nervously.

'Anna', I mumble.

'Nice to meet you, Anna. May I?', she asks while pointing at the empty chair in front of me.

'S-sure'

She sits down and looks at my drink.

'Frappuccino with strawberries and cream?'

'Yes!'

I look at her drink. It's the same one.

'Oh my god! I'm so happy I'm not the only one who drinks this', she says.

'I drink it every day. It's my favorite.'

'OH MY GOD! Me too!'

She starts talking about her job. Soon we're talking about family, friends and other personal stuff. I tell her about my current situation with my parents and friends. We have a lot in common, such as out cense I tell her about Mason and- Mason! He's still in the store!

'Mason is still in your store! I told him I'd be back soon. I have to go. I'm really sorry.'

'Sorry? Go? Girl, no! I haven't had a good laugh like this in for ever. You ain't going nowhere without giving me your number first.'

I can feel my cheeks turning red. She hands me her phone and I type in my number. For my name, I write 'Ara-lover'. Perfect. I give her her phone back and head back to her store. I can't believe that just happened. I just talked with her for an hour and gave her my number. Mason looks angry.

'Where have you been!? I've been looking at this bird for an hour!'

'Sorry, I was just-... uhm... the girl from-.. the uhm.. I...'

'Let's just go home.'

'You go, I have a place I need to.. uhm.. pass by.'

'What? You know what, I don't care. You've wasted my time once, I'm not letting you do it again.'

He walks away, leaving me confused. He's mad at me, but I just had the best hour of my life. Should I be happy or sad? This is weird. I don't feel like running after him and apologizing. I feel like, waiting. Waiting for a text. A text from Ellie, the magical girl with the beautiful eyes.
