Lacie's POV

"David you never listen to me what do you want me to do!" my mom yelled at my dad

"Nancy please I dont want to fight" my father pleaded

"I getting sick and tired of your shit David." it sounded like they were bickering forever

**3 hours later**

It was ten o'clock when Alex asked if he coud stay in my room. He truly hated it when our parents fought, they have been fighting for three hours now and I getting tired of it. I'm getting pissed off now and Alex looks like he's about to start crying. I soothed him and told him everything was going to be okay.

Lacie they've been fighting non-stop for the last six months its not all going to be okay and you know it.

I really hate the very truthful voice in my head, it's annoying. Alex was now fast asleep so I decided to try to sleep through their quarrel. I finally fell asleep at around eleven.

I woke to the sound of my alarm clock going off it was 6:30 AM and Maddy was giving me a ride to school so I had to hurry and get dressed. I set my clock to 8:00 AM so that he would wake up in time for school as soon as I was dressed I grabbed my keys and when downstairs made a bagle and darted through the door. Mason was driving us. GREAT. Did you see the sarcasim yeah I now tried to spend the least amount of time with Mace. I was sudenly awkward between us and I didn't like the feeling.

When I got home from school I found my mom crying on the kitchen counter.

Looks like the fight was big this time...

Silence.... "Mom are you okay?" I asked cautiously. "Yes, sweety it's just another fight we will resolve it soon." She said as she sobbed. "Okay mom I'm tired of you lying to me its not a nice and dandy tell me what's happening!" I finally exploded I was sick of her crap."

"Okay Lacie you are old enough to know what I am about to tell you is not a thing that any woman should do to her husband. And I know I am wrong. But I just no longer feel what I felt for your father."

"Mom what the hell is happening just fricking tell me NOW!" Okay now I'm livid and stressed and puzzled and furious she better tell me now before I go all crazy on someone.

"Sweety you can't tell anyone this but for the last couple of months I've been seeing another man and your father just found out, he caught me and now I don't regret everything but I am uneasy about what he will do."

Okay now you can slap the shit out of her

I really want to but I wont.

"And who is this man?"

"One of my co-workers. He is really sweet and nice and-"

"Stop talking and get out go away, I don't want you here!" I was irritated and I can't even explain what I was feeling I mean my mom just confessed to me that she was having an affair with one of her co-workers. I was about to rip someone's head off. Then she began to look at me with a black expression I couldn't read. I sprinted to my room locked myself in it and put my iPod in the iHome on blast. Before I knew it I was crying. I felt a pebble fall into my room and noticed that my balcony window was open. I ran to see the one the only MASON climbing to get to my balcony.

"Hey are you okay?" anxiosly asked. I wiped my tears away and hugged him tighly. "No, Mace I'm not okay." I whimpered into his chest he rubbed my head and sat me on my bed. "Lace, what happened?" he looked at me with a straight face. "I can't tell anyone, Mace." he looked at me disapointed and continued "Its okay, Everything is going to be okay." I continued to snivel into his chest we layed on my bed and he tried to cheer me up. He played with my black-ish-brown hair. I fell into slumber. When I woke the next moring Mason was gone. On the pebble he threw me was a post-it.

"Lace, you fell asleep and I too fell asleep

I woke up this morning and you were sleeping.

I ddin't want my mom to get worried so I whent home. -Mace"
