So Much Love To Give

The Hospital

"Stephanie, your my wife!"

"I know, but this isn't the first child I couldn't bring into this world for us, why would you want that? How could you look at me again?" Turning away she looked out the window

"Because I love you more than life, and neither of them have been your fault, not in the slightest! Now lets just wait and see what the doctor says okay?" Stevie didn't answer just continuing to stare out the window

Arriving at the hospital they managed to be put in as an emergency and seen almost straight away 

Sitting in with the Doctor he asked what the problem was and waited for Stevie to speak, but she was in a trance, Lindsey taking over

"She's pregnant, and she experienced bad cramps yesterday and has been bleeding ever since then, I know we should have come sooner but she was too scared"

"I understand...Mrs Buckingham what did the cramps feel like? and where were they?"

"Steph, talk to him..." Stevie finally looked at the Doctor

"Um, it feels like someone is squeezing my uterus and it feels like it at the bottom of my back to..."

"Okay, and the bleeding? has it been constant or spots and spaced out?"

"Constant, and quite a lot of blood..."

Writing some things down the doctor removed his glasses and looked at Stevie

"Okay, by your description, I'm pretty confident to say that you are currently menstruating"

Stevie looked at Lindsey and burst out crying

"I told you I had lost her! I knew it!" Burying her face in Lindsey's neck

"Hang on a moment...Mrs Buckingham, you do realise that you can menstruate whilst being pregnant? It is rare but it isn't unheard of"

"What...? So she is still pregnant?" Lindsey asked

"Well lets do a scan and find out shall we?" Stevie just nodded

Setting up the machines needed, the doctor made Stevie lay back, rubbing the gel onto her stomach and moving it around with the transducer

"There she is..." Stevie looked at the monitor, clutching Lindsey's hand

"How do I know she's okay?"

"Hang on..." Reaching for and flicking a switch, a loud steady heartbeat filled the room, Stevie placing a hand over her mouth and looking at Lindsey, who mouthed I told you so, she cried and smiled back at him, him resting his forehead to hers, the doctor giving them a moment

"Did you say she?" Lindsey asked

"Yes, you are having a healthy little girl! Here you go!" Handing them a small picture that he had just printed, them staring at it and once again becoming emotional

Leaving the hospital they returned back to Christine's, her automatically questioning on the baby

"She's fine, and she's healthy!" Stevie beamed handing the picture

"Your having a girl?" Chris said happily

"Indeed we are" Lindsey said proudly

"You certainly like your girls don't you"

"We love our girls" Stevie lifted Robin up and placed her on her hip

"I told you she was a sister!" Robin proclaimed

"You did baby girl!" They all sat down, and watched yet another one of Robins favorite movies together

Later that evening Lindsey climbed into bed with his wife, snuggling down together, he wanted to put an idea to her

"Steph, I've been thinking"

"That's dangerous..."

"Oh hush!" He joked

"Okay, sorry baby, go on..."

"Okay well, I was thinking...would you like to move here?"

"Here as in England?"

"Yeah, as in Kent, I love it here, and your close to your best friend, Robin would have so much freedom" Stevie was quiet, thinking until she could speak again

"I would love that Lindsey, but our parents are in the US, our career is there too, I would have to have a good think about it"

"Okay honey, it was just an idea"

Stevie lay awake thinking, the English country side would be perfect, a life they could spend as a family, but could she leave the fabulous life she has in another country, the choice was just to hard
