Demi's POV

I'd forgotten how much I wanted him.

Kissing him was my reminder.

I had forgotten what it was like to feel that type of passion; the type that makes every hair on your body stand on end. The type that makes you desire more of something you've never even experienced, and yet you're somehow already addicted to. The type that makes your mind run wild with thoughts you've never had before; thoughts that take control of your every move.

As his lip lied there softly upon mine, he seemed to want it to last, as he lingered for as long as he could before pulling away.

Then, when he finally spoke, the air quickly became awkward.

"I'm sorry," he muttered, resting his forehead against mine. "I, uh . . . I'm not too sure what just happened there."

I smiled, giggling a bit as I unwrapped my legs from around his waist.

"Got a little caught up in the moment, I guess," I replied.

"Yeah," he said, pulling back a bit. "I think everything this morning kind of became-,"

"An aphrodisiac?" I guessed. At the sight of his smile, I knew he agreed.

"Yeah," he chuckled. "Weird, right?"

Joe and I both jumped at the sound of someone banging at the door.

"Hey Joe! You in there? Come on, bro, you're late!"

"Damn," he muttered, looking over at the door. He seemed to know who it was, though my heart began to race in fear. Noticing this reaction, Joe peered at me apologetically. "It's my brother," he assured, brushing his hand over my slightly trembling fingers. "Sorry about that. Here." Taking my hand into his, Joe helped me down from the counter. As he went to answer the door, I picked up my coat from the floor and threw it over my arm.

"Joe! Man, come on, hurry up!"

"I'm coming!" Joe yelled back. Just as he pulled the door open, he began to speak again. "Jesus, Kev. What's the rush?"

"I'm sorry, but-," he looked Joe up and down. "Dude! Why aren't you dressed yet?"

"I had to handle some business," Joe replied frankly. "Kevin, why are you here? I have company."

With that, Joe stepped backward, allowing the man into the apartment. I finally was able to see him, with Joe no longer blocking the doorway, and gave the man a small smile.

"Hello," I said softly, yet shyly. I was still trembling a bit, but I managed to hold it together.

"Oh," he said, seemingly surprised that I had been there the whole time.

"This is my brother, Kevin," Joe said to me. " Kev, this is-,"

"Demi?" He guessed, causing me to raise both brows.

"Um, yeah," I said back. He extended his hand out to me.

"Nice to finally meet you, ma'am. Joe told us all about you coming to the party today. I'm glad you can make it."

"The party?" I whispered to myself.

As I placed my hand into his, I noticed very quickly just how little he resembled Joe. Kevin had small, deep-set, green eyes; nothing like his brother's large, almond-shaped hazel. His hair curled around his ears and off of his forehead, though he had the sides neatly combed and gelled back into place. He was dressed incredibly sharply; his grey button-up peering through his dark navy blue suit coat. The silver watch upon his wrist glistened against the light as he shook my hand, a kind smile on his face.
