I HAD ONLY BEEN IN NEW YORK for a day and I already ran into Zahra. I knew one day we would bump into each other, but what were the chances that we would meet on my first day.
I was surprised that we met so early on, but I wasn't so surprised we met in Elliot's office, he was her boyfriend. For some reason the thought aggravated me. He probably kisses her, touches her, sleeps with her, it angered me that he was laying his filthy hands on her, and worse, she probably liked it, she wanted it. She wants him.
"Levi?" She asks, stopping in front of me.
My dad wasn't lying when he said she looked more beautiful, if not that I knew her too well, I wouldn't have recognize her. She had changed extremely, I couldn't place what it was, but something looked so different about her, maybe she just matured. After all, the last time I saw her she was seventeen. If there was one thing I noticed, or rather called my attention more, was that she now had bigger breasts.
"Zahra," I say softly, staring down at her.
She opens her mouth to say something but closes it again before turning to Elliot who I had just noticed was standing there. "I'll see you later," she glances at me once more before exiting the office.
I immediately started feeling something in my chest... was it heartbreak? It was clear that I was affected be our run in, so I straighten up and turn to Elliot who was looking at me with amusement.
"Levi Karldon," he says, a smug smile drawn on his face. "I knew I may see you again sooner or later, but I really am surprised it is under work related circumstances," he gestures for the seats across his desk. "Please, have a seat,"
I turn to Shane who gives me a light nod before we take our seats.
"My father informed me that I will be meeting with the CEO of Atlas Construction company," he says before he chuckles. "I just didn't think it would be you,"
"Can we skip all this chatter and go straight to what we are here for?" I ask.
"Oh come on, Levi," he says. "You do not have to act so professional, we both know you are not. I am just trying to get reacquainted,"
"That will not be necessary," I say. "We are here for business, are we not?"
The smug look on his face doesn't waiver. "You are still as unlikeable as ever, but you are correct. We are here for business and hopefully personal matter will not get in the way of that,"
"It won't," I say. I was very unsure of that, seeing Zahra just now affected me, so personal matters will most likely affect our relations.
