Dear Diary,
I didn't think things could get much worse, but I was wrong. Ponyboy hasn't come back yet, and it's been almost a whole day. Most of the gang's been around, except for Pony and Johnny (who we guessed went with him). No one seemed to know anything we could use, except that Two-Bit kept talking our ears off about what happened at the movies, and how some Socs got mad for sitting with their girls, probably trying to save his skin. I hope the boys didn't get jumped or anything. Also, Dallas was acting a little strange, like he was hiding something. We tried to get Dallyboy to talk, but he said he didn't know nothing. We let him go, but I might still go back and talk to him again. The day's not over yet, and things can only get better. I mean, what's worse than having your kid brother be gone because he almost got caught with killing someone? I'll keep you updated, maybe.
