Two choices, two options, one answer. Give up or give in.
Long distance is hard, but if you want it, you'll stay. So did Taehyung - he'd know Jeon Jungkook for almost a year but still hadn't met him. Yet.
It was a soon to come, Taehyung thought. It was funny that Jungkook was his only best friend he had, the only one he texted after school and asked how his day was. Also, the one he'd be saying good night and good morning to.
Long story short, close friends over the internet. What if there were more? Beyond the word Internet friends.
"Hey Taehyung..." Jungkook said calmy.
"What is it Kookie?"
"What would you think of me coming to New Year's Eve?"
Taehyung couldn't believe what he just said, was it his own imagination going crazy again? Or was he mistaking his words? "Wait a second, I'll need my headphones." He put them in his ears, "Please repeat what you said."
"If I was coming to your town around New Year's Eve, would you be happy?"
"Oh my god..." his jaw dropped. "That would be great." Taehyung smiled.
"Wouldn't be crazy right?"
"But shouldn't I come to you? I'm older and I can travel on my ow-"
"Taehyung, I got this. First of all, your parents wouldn't let you get out of the house without your brother. Second, I can come to you, my parents would let me and they would be okay with you, they would even help me with money."
"I wanna see you how you live."
"So do I. Now I asked the request first didn't I?"
"Get over here."
"Well I'm actually looking for a ticket. I think I've found a great price." Jungkook was typing on computer loudly, then it stopped for a second. "What about I'll come at 28th of December, at 5, afternoon."
"Jungkook... Are you serious?" He started to shake or nervosity. "Do you really wanna get here?"
"Do I sound funny to you?"
"Are you getting here?"
"Ask your parents if I can come over!"
Without hesitation, Taehyung left his phone on the bed to run downstairs. Politely, he asked his mother for permission, and she said yes. Little happy giggling Taehyung run upstairs, jumping on his phone and put his headphones on again.
"Come here."
"I am."
Just a few minutes later of silence, Jungkook confirmed his ticket to Seoul. "Can't wait to see you at the train station 28th of December."
They said goodbye and hung up. Jungkook took a deep breath and looked behind him, the large boxes were still not filled with stuff.
"Guess we better get going." He mumbled to himself.
